Student answer (Band 5.5)
This essay is about working schedule of workers , the working week should be shorter and workers should get long weekends.
Firstly talking about working weeks should be shorter, i definitely agree with this statement. Workers deserves vacation time, family time and me time. For considerable works they cannot enjoy their life perfectly. If working week get shorter they can do other things related to their personal life. Also they can relax and keep their mind and body stressless which is beneficial for their health. As example from recent study about workers, we get to know that those have sufficient longer weekends they are who more happier and healthier than those who work a lot in weeks.
Then coming to the longer weekends part, as i said working week should be shorter is more beneficial, for that similarly longer weekends is also beneficial. If workers get longer weekends they can do various things in weekend. They can travel ,spend time with family and friend and so on. In addition people get bore with their work if they cannot get proper long weekend. For example I have longer weekends rather than my sister , just because of her longer working week she has been getting bored with his work on the other side i have been enjoying my work since i started my work. We can see the difference clearly from that example.
After all of that, i can say that of course i agree with that statement that working week should be shorter and weekends should be longer.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly taking a position agreeing that the working week should be shorter and weekends longer. The writer attempts to support this stance with reasons relating to health, family time, and productivity. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument relies heavily on general statements such as 'Workers deserves vacation time, family time and me time' rather than fully exploring the socioeconomic implications. Furthermore, the personal example comparing the writer to their sister is anecdotal and slightly repetitive. While all parts of the prompt are addressed, the ideas are under-developed, which corresponds to the requirements for Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion. The writer uses basic cohesive markers to signal progression, such as 'Firstly' and 'Then coming to the longer weekends part'. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty, as seen in awkward transitions like 'After all of that, i can say that...'. Paragraphing is attempted, though the main body paragraphs are overly dense and lump multiple ideas together instead of dividing them logically. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as pronoun confusion in the personal example ('with his work' referring to the sister). This level of organisation aligns with a Band 6 score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting common topic-related terms like 'vacation time', 'personal life', and 'stressless'. However, there is a noticeable lack of precision and a reliance on basic or repetitive wording ('beneficial', 'longer weekends', 'work'). There are also several word choice and collocation errors, such as 'For considerable works they cannot enjoy their life' instead of 'Because of heavy workloads, they cannot enjoy their lives', and 'people get bore with their work'. Spelling is generally acceptable, but vocabulary limitations and awkward phrasings restrict the response to a Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('Workers deserves', 'those have sufficient longer weekends they are who more happier'), missing articles ('As example from recent study'), and punctuation errors like missing capitalization on the pronoun 'i'. Complex structures are often faulty, which can cause slight difficulty for the reader at times, although communication is not severely impeded. These features are characteristic of Band 5 grammatical performance.
