Student answer (Band 5.0)

A shorter working week and longer weekend improve employee well-being, mental health, and overall productivity, though they can present economics challanges for certain indutries. From my perspective, I agree from from working week should be shorter then longer because people concentrate on their work with full attention if they have shorter work. Mostly people felt very pressure and did not focus on their work dew to high work. Work play a crucal role in our life.

On the one hand, we work for gain our knowledge and for income. Firstly,, work make us confident and imrpove our communication skill. For example, if a person who felt very lazy and less confident so if he or she work at a huge level firstly he maintain their dressing secondly focus on work aand thirdly create good relation with other employees.

On the other hand, shorter work is very crucial then longer. worker focus on their work without ant tension. they perform better. They did not face any type of trauma related to high work pressure. For example, a person of my family job in a government institute. Staff provide her shorter work on daily base to teach the students. she firstly maintain good relation and then she focus on her work on daily routine. she enhance her learing style and she focus on her work because shorter work is build yuour mental health provide you peacefull professionalist.

Although, longer work destroy worker health. Worker face alot of difficultie to perform work and felt trauma and pressure. they did not perform well dew to pressure.

In conclusion, employees concenrate on their work if they have low work pressure. they think positively and maintain their thinking style and perform significant in work. They produce new ideas for getting good for achieveing success.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt regarding whether the working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. A clear position is stated in the introduction, agreeing with the premise that shorter working hours improve productivity and well-being. However, the ideas are somewhat repetitive and lack deep, coherent extension. For instance, the discussion of work gaining us knowledge and confidence in the second paragraph wanders slightly off the core theme of work-life balance and reduced hours. While the prompt is addressed, the supporting arguments tend to generalise without providing fully developed institutional or societal examples. According to the band descriptors, this performance sits firmly in the Band 5 to 6 range, demonstrating a relevant response with some under-developed ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, attempting a standard structure including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by abrupt shifts in topic and repetitive phrasing, such as the repeated use of 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' in confusing sequences. Cohesive devices are often mechanical, inaccurate, or missing, leading to choppy sentences that do not flow smoothly. Furthermore, referencing and pronoun use are occasionally unclear, making it hard to follow the exact argument. For example, sentences like 'Worker face alot of difficultie to perform work and felt trauma' lack adequate connective tissue with preceding thoughts. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion requires significant improvement, placing it at Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently relying on simple words such as 'work', 'good', 'focus', and 'pressure'. There are also numerous spelling and word-form errors that detract from the text, including 'economics challanges', 'indutries', 'dew', 'crucal', 'imrpove', 'learing', and 'difficultie'. Although the writer attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'professionalist' and 'well-being', the misuse of these terms and persistent spelling errors impede the overall precision of the writing. The range of vocabulary is minimally adequate for conveying basic thoughts, aligning with the Band 5 descriptor.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, with frequent errors in basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and tense consistency. Examples of structural issues include 'I agree from from working week should be shorter then longer' and 'a person of my family job in a government institute'. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex structures are almost invariably marred by missing prepositions, incorrect word order, or awkward phrasing. Punctuation errors are also notable, such as double commas and missing capitalisation at the start of sentences. Because errors are frequent and cause noticeable difficulty for the reader throughout, this corresponds to a Band 5.0 score.
