Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often argued that the working

week should be shorter so that

employees can enjoy a longer

weekend. I fully agree with this

view because it can improve

worker's well-being and productivity.

The main reason why i support my answer

is it employes work in regular 5 days

it should decline to 4 days because

worker should fresh our mind he was

lazy towards his work and he did not

fully concentrate of our work. For instance,

it woremployees work 4 days in a week

and he should be comfortable for him

and remaining 3 days he would relax and

being unstressful and also he concentrate

for upcoming task in next week.

And, The other reason that is

support my answer is that if

worker should attain a long weekend

he also spend time with family and

our personal activities for examples, workers

should spend Time with our childrens

and he also go to a outing with

family his family were also happy

and the bond with family was

also generated and he feel happy

with his environment. and

this main reson why i support

my answer is.

In conclusion, I believe that working

week would be shorter and weekends

should be longer. And, I also

request to government to for this kind

of initiative that our government take

Because if Govern, adopt this initiative

instruction may workers will happy and

doing our work with full of concentration

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in the introduction, agreeing that the working week should be shorter. The student attempts to provide two main reasons: improved well-being and productivity, and better family time. However, the ideas are inadequately developed and repetitively expressed. Furthermore, the response is under the required length, containing only 239 words against the 250-word minimum specified in the task instructions, which impacts the overall task achievement score. The arguments remain somewhat superficial due to the limited elaboration and phrasing. Consequently, the response aligns best with a Band 5 descriptor for this criterion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

Paragraphing is attempted, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the internal progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by poor sentence structure, repetitive connectors like 'and' or 'also', and pronoun confusion. For instance, the transition between sentences in the second body paragraph ('And, The other reason that is support my answer is...') feels mechanical and awkward. Referencing is often unclear, as seen with pronouns like 'our' and 'he' used inconsistently for plural subjects ('workers'). There is no clear overall logical progression within the paragraphs, placing the text firmly at a Band 5 level.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive. The student relies on simple words like 'happy', 'work', 'time', and 'family' throughout the response. There are noticeable word choice and collocation errors, such as 'being unstressful', 'go to a outing', and 'bond with family was also generated'. Some words are misused, such as 'employes' and 'woremployees'. The range of vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate for conveying basic meaning, but frequent lexical inaccuracies and a lack of less common or precise terms restrict the score to a Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The text demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting mostly of simple and heavily faulted complex sentences. There are frequent, persistent errors throughout the text, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('if worker should attain', 'worker should fresh our mind'), tense inconsistencies ('he was lazy... and he did not fully concentrate'), and run-on sentence structures joined incorrectly by commas and conjunctions ('...his family were also happy and the bond with family was also generated and he feel happy...'). These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader and reflect a Band 4 grammatical performance.
