Student answer (Band 5.0)
As discussed earlier, about working that the working days should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend.
Keeping yourself busy nowadays is very important because it keeps you away from overthinking, stress and anxiety. When you keep yourself busy, you don't pay attention to others like what they are thinking about you, which create a positive impact in your life. You keep yourself away from any kind of negativity. Following this, rest is also important in life, like if you work all week, at some point you'll become exhausted, which will definitely affect your mood. You become hyper, stubborn with your family and friends because of lack of rest. In the next paragraph I will share my thoughts.
From my perspective, I strongly agree that the workers should have longer weekend because they need rest too, to relax their nervous system and to spend some time with their family and friends too which is also important in life despite of working. For example, if a person is working continuously from a week without any weekend, this will cause negative impact in his life, including his nervous system and health both physically and mentally. He will become exhausted plus he don't have much to spend with his family which will also affect his family too.
When they are given with longer weekend they got a time to spend some time with their family and friends which will make them happy. They get to know what is happening in the world. They can also go on a tour with their family.
In the conclusion, it is a positive innovation, because it yields in good mental and physical health of workers.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that workers should have a longer weekend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and relies heavily on general statements about mental health, stress, and spending time with family, rather than exploring broader economic or productivity implications. The introduction is quite weak, containing conversational filler ('As discussed earlier') rather than a direct paraphrase of the prompt. While the main body paragraphs do support the writer's stance with relevant examples, such as the negative impact of continuous work on the nervous system and health, some points are under-developed or circular. The conclusion is extremely brief and simplistic ('it is a positive innovation'). Overall, the task is addressed, but the depth of argumentation aligns best with a Band 5.5 or 6.0 descriptor.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response shows a basic organizational structure with clear paragraphing, including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions, such as 'In the next paragraph I will share my thoughts,' which breaks the academic tone. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'When you keep yourself busy...', 'Following this...', 'From my perspective...'). Paragraphing is attempted, but some paragraphs feel disjointed, particularly the abrupt shift between discussing overthinking in the second paragraph and transitioning to physical rest. Referencing is sometimes unclear, with pronouns like 'they' occasionally lacking a precise antecedent. Overall, the organizational flaws place this text firmly in the Band 5.0 range.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for communicating the basic message, but it is repetitive and limited in range. The student successfully uses common terms like 'exhausted', 'nervous system', 'negativity', and 'positive impact'. However, there are notable word choice and collocation issues, such as 'You become hyper, stubborn with your family', 'despite of working', and 'yields in good mental and physical health'. Furthermore, the student relies heavily on basic vocabulary ('keep yourself busy', 'spend some time') without demonstrating an ability to use less common lexical items accurately. Spelling is generally acceptable, but lexical inaccuracies restrict the score to Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing plural forms ('worker should have longer weekend'), incorrect prepositions ('from a week', 'despite of working'), and subject-verb agreement issues ('plus he don't have much'). Some complex sentences are faulty, such as 'When they are given with longer weekend they got a time to spend some time...', which contains redundant phrasing and awkward passive constructions ('are given with'). While meaning is generally communicated despite these errors, the high frequency of grammatical slips prevents the score from reaching Band 6.0.
