Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays employees like to have very few week days and weekend should be more than two days. I disagree with the statement because, people have lots of expenses and need additional income to live better life.
In todays world, the authorities of all nations prepared a working schedule which has proper working hours, wages and off days. Most of the individuals has loans debts, family responsibility, health payments, insurance etc., is covered by monthly salary which is equally divided in weeks of the month. Therefore, work according to given time rather than requesting additional off times. For example, In Canada, many persons have multiple payments in every thirty days, so they are working regular, enjoying on saturday and sunday's and living proper life.
On the other hand, people looking other source of making money to clear large debts of banks. Massive loans like, home and car thats why white collar and blue collar category people apart from normal hours, they look for second job or continue as overtime in the same company. Enough saving feels residents secure and planned for retirement. For instance, In Canada, many manufacturing company give option for additional hours to accomplish the target. workers utilize the opportunity to make handsome salary.
In conclusion, I disagree with staff who needs limited working days and longer weekend, because numerous families required financial support to fulfill their daily expenses which is covered after completing proper working hours. Moreover, due to that, employers offer over time in order to finish the project.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position against a shorter working week and longer weekend, supporting it with reasons related to financial needs and debts. The ideas are relevant and generally developed, though some supporting points, such as the references to Canada, are somewhat repetitive and lack deeper elaboration. The writer maintains a clear position throughout the essay. However, due to the limited depth of development and occasional tendency to over-generalize, the response aligns best with Band 6.0 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion. Paragraphing is utilized, dividing the main body into distinct supporting arguments. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty and mechanical, as seen in phrases like 'On the other hand' being used somewhat repetitively or abruptly. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression between sentences could be smoother. These features reflect the characteristics of a Band 6.0 performance.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'white collar', 'blue collar', and 'accomplish the target'. However, there are noticeable word-choice errors, awkward collocations, and grammatical slips involving lexical forms, such as 'loans debts' instead of 'loan debts' or 'debts', and 'making money' instead of 'earning money'. These inaccuracies do not severely impede communication, placing the response securely in the Band 5.5 to 6.0 range, comfortably meriting a 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical control is inconsistent. There are several frequent errors in articles, prepositions, plurals, and subject-verb agreement, such as 'employees like to have very few week days', 'Most of the individuals has loans debts', and 'many manufacturing company give option'. Punctuation is also faulty in places, such as 'saturday and sunday's'. While these errors do not impede overall communication, they prevent the grammar score from reaching a higher band, making Band 5.0 the most accurate descriptor.
