Student answer (Band 5.0)

Now a days, too much people work all the days of week due to heavy load of work. This topic is about if the leave days are more than the working days .howerver, i'm completely agree with the statement.

First of all , if we see the heavy work of individuals in 5 days of week, its tells us about the load a person carry , for example, if a teacher teaches the students all day standing, working hard to provide them knowledge, it will give alot of benefits to the students but no one see the side effects she faces like she faces backbone issues and many other health issues, if these organization remives some extra load of work from them and give them a proper long vacations after 3 or fours days works. On the end of the days they will feel more energetic, powerfull , even more happy.

On the other side , if we see the consequences of giving organization member long break of work and less work , sadly , it will have an abrupt effect on the organization, Like if someone make list of people of buses whol enter that transport on daily basis , if he takes break from work and do less work then loads of work increases , badly no one available at the weekend time ro do propwr work that damge the organization proper worm .

So there are alot of advantages of less work and more free time , but i believe, disadvantage outweigh the advantage.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt regarding whether the working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. The candidate attempts to take a position, stating 'i'm completely agree with the statement' in the introduction. However, there is a distinct contradiction in the conclusion where the writer states 'disadvantage outweigh the advantage,' which creates confusion regarding their true stance. Ideas are presented, such as discussing the physical toll of continuous work on individuals like teachers, but these arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence. The explanation of organizational consequences in the third paragraph is fragmented and unclear. Overall, the task is addressed only partially, aligning closely with a Band 5 performance.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text shows some basic organizational structure with clear paragraph breaks, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as starting paragraphs with phrases like 'First of all ,' and 'On the other side ,' where spacing and punctuation errors are frequent. Referencing is often unclear, making it difficult to follow the logical links between sentences. For example, in the third paragraph, the connection between a bus schedule example and organizational damage is extremely muddled. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is faulty throughout, placing this response firmly in the Band 5 category.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and limited, featuring frequent word-choice errors and spelling mistakes such as 'Now a days', 'howerver', 'remives', 'powerfull', and 'worm' instead of 'work'. While the candidate attempts some less common phrases like 'abrupt effect' or 'consequences', these are used inaccurately or inappropriately in context. Words like 'heavy load of work' are repeated without variation. The lexical range is minimally adequate to convey a basic message, but noticeable errors in spelling, word formation, and collocation consistently impede smooth reading. This performance fits the Band 5 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures. The majority of sentences are either simple or clumsy attempts at complex sentences that contain frequent errors. There are persistent punctuation and capitalization mistakes, such as lowercase 'i' used as a personal pronoun, missing commas, and unnecessary spaces before punctuation marks. Grammatical inaccuracies such as 'too much people work' instead of 'too many people work' and subject-verb agreement errors like 'disadvantage outweigh' occur throughout the text. These frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a Band 4 to Band 5 grammatical level, earning a 4.5.
