Student answer (Band 5.0)

I disagree with this idea,

While mentioning the reasons I must say that this should be the idea for lazy people around the world however most of the people are happy with this routine because they are really wanted to work atleast 4 days a week.

Human body is designed in such a way that exercise and work make it stronger and potiential otherwise you will be like an artificial piece with lot of medical problems. when you work 4 to 5 days a week you are excited about the day off and you starts planning to do the things for weekends its may be family outing or hoteling or anything but if you are free in the same days a week you will be more worried about work that how it will be manage or you will be free in most of the time this will make a person like a un use-able furniture.

Well some people fined it more exciting to have more days off a weekend because they are so much tired by their work. I am also understanding their situation too so that comapnies should deal their employes like human not animals.

I also thinking about that a week should be like 60% work and 40% off so that every person feel easy at their work and at their home because its human nature that it can never stay much longer at any place so it could be a best solution for everyone. On the other hand a person's mind should always be peacefull and freash so that he tackle every problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The student addresses the prompt by taking a clear position of disagreement with the idea of a shorter working week and longer weekend. However, the development of ideas is limited and sometimes relies on over-generalizations or informal assertions, such as claiming the idea is 'for lazy people around the world.' While the writer attempts to provide reasons regarding physical health, exercise, and psychological anticipation of weekends, these ideas are underdeveloped and lack strong elaboration or concrete examples. The response addresses the task overall, but the arguments are somewhat fragmented, leaning towards a Band 5 or Band 6 descriptor. Because the ideas are relevant despite their limited extension, a Band 5.5 is awarded.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The organization of the text lacks clear progression. The essay is divided into a few long paragraphs, but the transition between ideas is abrupt. For instance, moving from the physical benefits of work directly into weekend planning and then into concessions for overworked employees creates a disjointed structure. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, such as 'when you work 4 to 5 days a week you are excited... and you starts planning' and 'Well some people fined it more exciting'. Paragraphing is not used effectively to separate distinct sub-topics, resulting in an unclear overall logical flow that fits the Band 5 descriptors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical range is limited and frequently strained by noticeable errors. The student uses basic vocabulary alongside attempts at less common phrasing, such as 'potiential', 'hoteling', 'un use-able furniture', and 'freash'. Word choices and collocations are often unnatural or incorrect, as seen in phrases like 'how it will be manage' or 'companies should deal their employes like human not animals'. While the meaning can generally be inferred, these recurrent spelling and word-choice errors cause some difficulty for the reader, aligning closely with the Band 5 criteria.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tense consistency, and subject-verb agreement, such as 'most of the people are happy... because they are really wanted', 'it may be family outing', and 'I also thinking about that'. Punctuation is largely neglected, with run-on sentences and missing capitalization at the beginning of sentences (e.g., 'when you work', 'its may be'). Because errors are frequent and occasionally obscure meaning, the writing falls into the Band 5 category.
