Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the prompt regarding whether the working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. However, the position is muddled and contradictory at times, with the writer stating both agreement and disagreement in confusing ways, such as 'the shorter weekend are also not good for the work i also diagree with to take a longer weekend'. Ideas are repetitive and under-developed, relying on vague assertions about health, family time, and boring companies rather than fully extended arguments with solid examples. While the writer touches on relevant themes like stress and personal time, the lack of clear progression and logical development places the task response at Band 4.0 according to official descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The essay lacks clear logical organization and progression throughout. Paragraphing is highly problematic, with a massive block of text containing multiple shifting ideas and poor structural transitions. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, with repetitive referencing such as 'the worker' and 'the shorter weekend' appearing constantly without smooth substitution. While the text is broken into a couple of sections, the overall arrangement is disjointed and makes it difficult for the reader to follow the train of thought. This level of organization aligns directly with Band 4.0 criteria.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, heavily relying on simple words like 'worker', 'weekend', 'company', and 'time'. There are frequent word choice and collocation errors, such as 'healping', 'mently', 'disgree', and 'diease'. The student also uses incorrect phrasing like 'have take a longer weekend' and 'came back to the work'. These lexical inaccuracies and the extremely limited range of vocabulary severely strain the reader and restrict the score to Band 4.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical control is extremely weak throughout the response. The writer relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and most attempts at complex sentences are faulty. There are persistent, basic errors in subject-verb agreement ('worker should work', 'Most of the company are'), tense usage ('After came back', 'not take'), and word formation ('mently and physicaly'). Punctuation and capitalization are also erratic. Because errors are frequent, distort meaning in several places, and impede communication, the performance fits the Band 4.0 descriptors.
