Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that working weeks should be shorter and longer weekend are necessary for workers. I partially agree with that.
To begin with In today's busy life there is a high compitition in working field. The working and earning pressure can cause severe healt problems. The shorter working week relieves the pressure. In addition it can give flexibility by means of the smaller specific goal which improves the productivity of workers. Also with the longer weekend workers able to spend quality time with family which creats a healthy life balance. For example- Finland initiated a four day working policy and after some time the prductivity at workspace and level of happiness spike drametically.
On the other hand There are some professions where this initiative will fail: medical, firefighter and milatary. On account of save life and protect life these profession must work throught the week. Which is also important for the country's growth and the health care system. So that is the reason why this idea is not applicable in all field.
According to my opinion this initiative will definatily help the corporate workers and private sector workers. But it should not be acceptable at the professional fields where the work is related peoples life.
To conclude it is good for the private sector employes because they will be able to experience good balance . but it is not acceptable when it comes to country

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear partial stance regarding shorter working weeks and longer weekends. Relevant ideas are introduced, such as reduced health problems, increased productivity, and the necessity of continuous service in vital sectors like healthcare and emergency services. However, the response falls short of the 250-word minimum, containing only 234 words. This under-length constraint limits the degree of task fulfillment, resulting in some underdeveloped points, particularly in the conclusion which trails off abruptly. Therefore, Task Achievement is penalised for length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates an overall logical arrangement, with distinct paragraphs addressing the pros, cons, and a final personal opinion. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'To begin with', 'In addition', 'Also', and 'On the other hand', though some of these are basic or mechanically applied. Paragraphing is attempted, but some paragraphs are short or run together, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the abrupt ending in the final sentence where the thought is incomplete. Progression is discernible, but organisational control requires greater consistency.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, with attempts at less common items such as 'flexibility', 'productivity', and 'initiative'. However, there are numerous spelling errors throughout the text, including 'compitition', 'healt', 'creats', 'prductivity', 'drametically', 'milatary', 'throught', 'definatily', and 'employes'. These errors occasionally draw attention, but they do not severely impede communication. The range is sufficient for the writer to convey their basic arguments, though word choice remains somewhat basic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional ideas and multi-clause sentences ('The working and earning pressure can cause severe health problems.'). There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, including missing articles ('in working field', 'in all field', 'comes to country'), punctuation omissions around introductory phrases ('To begin with In today's busy life'), and preposition errors ('On account of save life'). While these errors do not completely obscure meaning, they occur frequently enough to impact readability.
