Student answer (Band 5.5)
Yes, I do agree with the statement " The working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend" because holidays will maintain a good mental health for the workers and the working people. Working for the whole week or for a prolong period of time can cause a sivere health damages and develop new health conditions for the people. Lot of stress can result to an incredibly dangerous state of mind where a person loses his or her personality and can lesd to depression.
In order to overcome these fear and health contradictions, having a sufficient and longer weekend is very important for a person to easily or happily perform their own household or daily activities. So, a lengthy weekend is a happy weekend.
For example, if you have a important family wedding to attend in the weekend that is on Saturday, and you have a lot of work and office pressure from your boss, in this case you will surely miss your attendence in the wedding. Accorging to my opinion it is not very essential to have longer weekend for all the jobs or works because if someone has a 2 days of work in a week, giving a longer weekend is not much preferable.
In conclusion, I would say that longer weekends and and shorter working weeks are very effective in the improvement of workers ability and in the developments of the skills in the people whose are working in top companies. While there are few workers who do not relax and enjoys the weekend, they even work on weekend. Longer weekends are useless for these type of people. Similarly, if the weekends are little it shows a great negative effect of people's mental state and can never focus on their work with full confidence and concentration.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position agreeing with the statement, supporting it with ideas related to mental health, stress, and lifestyle. However, the development of ideas lacks consistency and contains some contradiction. For instance, after arguing strongly for longer weekends, the writer states that 'it is not very essential to have longer weekend for all the jobs' and that 'giving a longer weekend is not much preferable.' This weakens the overall logical position. Furthermore, the example regarding a family wedding is somewhat confusingly integrated into the argument. Consequently, the response meets the baseline requirements for addressing all parts of the task, but the execution of ideas corresponds to a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay is divided into paragraphs, providing a basic structural layout. However, logical progression is occasionally hindered by abrupt transitions and faulty referencing. For example, the phrase 'these fear and health contradictions' in the second paragraph lacks a clear antecedent, as fear was not previously mentioned and 'contradictions' is used inappropriately. Cohesive devices such as 'In conclusion' are present, but overall referencing and logical linking are sometimes mechanical or confusing, such as the sudden shift in perspective regarding certain jobs in the third paragraph. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal flow of ideas needs tighter organisation to achieve a higher score. This places the response firmly at Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases such as 'prolong period of time', 'dangerous state of mind', and 'daily activities'. However, there are notable word choice and collocation errors throughout the text, including 'maintain a good mental health' (mental health is uncountable), 'sivere health damages' (severe damage), 'health contradictions' (inappropriate word choice), and 'miss your attendence' (miss your attendance instead of miss the wedding). Spelling errors such as 'sivere', 'lesd', and 'Accorging' also occur. These inaccuracies occasionally detract from the reading experience, representing a standard Band 5.5 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as conditional clauses ('if you have a important family wedding...') and gerund phrases. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in article usage ('a important family wedding', 'on the weekend'), pluralisation ('workers and the working people', 'few workers who do not relax and enjoys'), subject-verb agreement ('whose are working'), and prepositional choices. While many sentences are understandable, the density of grammatical slips and awkward phrasings causes some difficulty for the reader and prevents the text from reaching a Band 6.0.
