Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary era, people work in company are commonly seen to be under pressure. Solution to that problem some people advise to storter their working week and should have longer weekends. As there are several benifits of increasing weekend that will lead to improve life quality of workers. I emphatatically endorse the view of people i believe it will have numerous benifits to society.
Reducing working week have various benifits as working people will able to spent time with there family because many working people's family member have a complaint that working person don't have time. So that will give satisfaction and that will reflect in there working they will be more enthusiastic to perform work for instance, big giant company like microsoft have implement this one their employees that had company productivity and lead to achieve task in less time.
This will provide balance life to employees and people will get time to work on there health a. After implementing this practise people can become more creative by spending time on there hobby. Longer week end will give them time to persive there passion and improve their skills. Company can provide some interactive programs this all will help company by less employees turnover for example company like tata provide this all program and facilities to there employees and they have register less turnover before implementation this facilities.
In contrast, shorter working weeks can have adverse effects on small companies with less funding or startups. These companies may be unable to provide this facility because, in the initial phase, they need workers to support the company and complete important tasks on time. Reducing working hours may decrease productivity and increase the workload on other employees. For example, a small manufacturing company may need workers to operate machines continuously, so a shorter working week could affect its production and profits. Therefore, this practice may not be suitable for every company, especially those with limited resources.
In conclusion, shorter working weeks and longer weekends can improve employees' family life, health and creativity. Although it may create difficulties for some small companies, proper planning can reduce these problems. Therefore, I believe this practice can provide several benefits to both workers and society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear position that you agree with a shorter working week and longer weekends. The main ideas are relevant and supported with explanations and examples, such as mentioning Microsoft and Tata to illustrate the impact on productivity and employee retention. A counter-argument is also introduced in the fourth paragraph regarding small businesses, which adds depth to the discussion. However, some ideas are a bit repetitive and under-developed, particularly regarding health and creativity. Overall, the task is addressed adequately and meets the criteria for Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay is arranged into five paragraphs with a clear introduction and conclusion. There is an overall logical progression of ideas, moving from benefits for workers and companies to counter-arguments and a concluding summary. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or faulty, such as 'In this contemporary era,' 'Solution to that problem some people advise,' and 'After implementing this practise.' Paragraphing is used sufficiently, but referencing and transitional phrasing between sentences can be clunky at times, which prevents the response from reaching a higher band score.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'contemporary era,' 'emphatatically endorse,' and 'employee turnover.' However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'storter' instead of shorten, 'benifits' instead of benefits, 'emphatatically' instead of emphatically, 'persive' instead of pursue, and 'register' instead of registered. These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to a Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over sentence structure. However, the text contains frequent grammatical errors, such as missing subject-verb agreement or incorrect verb forms ('people work in company are commonly seen,' 'reducing working week have various benifits,' 'workers will able to spent time,' and 'before implementation this facilities'). Punctuation errors are also present, such as sentence fragments and run-on structures. These errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and place the grammar score firmly at Band 5.0.
