Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, working days play a vital role in people's lives. Some people believe that the working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. In my opinion, I disagree with this view.
To begin with, the working week would be benificial for employees and company. Companies get higher production and earn more money by selling their products. Employees can not only get salary from the company but also get rewards from their task completation. For example, Many establishment do not give holidays on weekends also. Therefore, working week should not be shorter for workers.
Further more, another reasons for working week should be longer because it makes employees more organized in their life. While, companies give vacation to their employees to take a break from busy schedule, it helps employess to remain stress free and enjoyed to their loved ones. For example, In India, bank only gives two weeks holidays during weekend and in week days they have to work efficiently. As a result, it creates difficlty for citizens to complete their work, if there should be longer weekend. Therefore, the longer weekend can make people trouble to complete their daily life work.
In my opinion, longer weekend have its own value like workers can enjoy their quality time with their loved ones but working week should not be shorter because it create negative influence towards the citizen. For example, longer weekend makes people lazy and it reduce production of the company. Therefore, there should be no longer weekend in the world.
In conclusion, although, longer weekends have its own benefits, it makes people unproductive and reduce their work efficiency at the work place.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear, albeit limited, position against shorter working weeks, aligning with a partial treatment of the task. While you express your view clearly in the introduction, your supporting ideas remain somewhat repetitive and under-developed. For instance, claiming that a longer weekend 'creates difficulty for citizens to complete their work' is insufficiently supported and lacks logical elaboration, particularly given your example about Indian banks. To reach a higher level, your ideas would need to be more fully extended and explored with precise, convincing reasoning rather than generalized assertions about laziness and productivity.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some overall organization with recognizable paragraph breaks, but it lacks a clear, logical progression throughout. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or mechanical, such as the repetitive use of transitional phrases like 'To begin with,' 'Further more,' and 'Therefore' at the start of nearly every paragraph. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen when pronoun shifts make it difficult to determine whether you are referring to employees, companies, or citizens. To improve, you should vary your cohesive ties naturally and ensure each paragraph transitions smoothly into the next to build a cohesive argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate for the task, providing basic terms to express your arguments. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling throughout the essay that occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader, such as 'benificial' instead of beneficial, 'completation' instead of completion, and 'difficlty' instead of difficulty. You also rely heavily on simple terms and make awkward collocations like 'negative influence towards the citizen.' To advance further, you need to incorporate a wider and more precise range of vocabulary, paying closer attention to word formation and correct spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay relies on a limited range of sentence structures, and your attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, containing frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. There are issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'bank only gives two weeks holidays' and 'at the work place.' Additionally, prepositional and structural patterns are sometimes inaccurate, as in 'enjoyed to their loved ones.' To reach higher bands, you should aim to produce more error-free sentences by mastering complex sentence forms and exercising tighter control over grammatical rules.
