Student answer (Band 5.5)
It has been observed that working patterns have a significant impact on employees' personal and professional lives. although some people believe that the duration of working days should be shortened so that worker can have an extended weekend.i firmly disagree with the given statement. my inclination is elaborated in ensuing paragraph and relevant examples.
the foremost argument to justify my stand is that lower productivity if workers don't working to the time table then company produce less production so that was the disadvantage of company and they are in loss. besides this, it is also true that our government also take a loss beacuse government receive taxes from that type of businesses, therefore company's selling is not high then it's direct effect in company's earning and its negative effect also goes on government.
furthermore, the other reason to prove my point is even employer have to face the negative impact about salaries because of that if workers don't have a time then he doesn't complete his task and if he never give his time to a company as a employer then company also don't give increment and extra paids. in addition, the fact that customer also feel irregular and bad services if employer doesn't give the right answer and services to the customer then he's negative feedback can reduce company's credit and losses future customers.
to conclude the discussion, it can be said that despite the fact of employe's lower salary and customer's feedback for our services and product quality, my reason is that company can't take the losses in the profit and that

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the task partially by taking a clear stance against a shorter working week, focusing primarily on the potential negative impacts on business productivity, government taxes, and customer service. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the point regarding government tax losses is stated simply as 'government receive taxes from that type of businesses' without further elaboration or real-world exemplification. Similarly, the argument about customer service relies on general assertions rather than fully extended reasoning. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to expand on their arguments with well-supported explanations and specific examples rather than jumping between multiple brief points.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some organization, with an introduction, body paragraphs, and an incomplete conclusion, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, inaccurate, or overused, such as the repetitive use of connectors like 'furthermore', 'besides this', and 'in addition' to link loosely connected thoughts. Furthermore, paragraphing is not fully controlled; the conclusion trails off mid-sentence ('and that'), disrupting the logical flow. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the exact relationship between sentences. To improve, the writer must ensure a logical progression from one paragraph to the next and use a wider variety of cohesive devices more accurately.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate for the task, with a heavy reliance on basic words and noticeable errors that cause some difficulty for the reader. There are frequent word choice and collocation issues, such as saying 'lower productivity if workers don't working to the time table then company produce less production' and 'extra paids' instead of overtime pay. Spelling and word-form errors are also present, such as 'employe's'. The range of vocabulary is restricted to everyday terms, and attempts at less common lexical items often result in unnatural phrasing. To progress, the writer should build a stronger repertoire of academic vocabulary and pay closer attention to word formation and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer uses a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on basic, repetitive clauses linked together with conjunctions. Attempts at more complex sentences are often faulty, featuring frequent errors in grammar, subject-verb agreement, and punctuation. For example, sentences frequently lack proper capitalization and run on without correct punctuation, as seen in 'i firmly disagree with the given statement. my inclination is elaborated in ensuing paragraph'. There are also persistent errors in verb tenses and auxiliary verbs, such as 'workers don't working'. These frequent grammatical errors cause strain and difficulty for the reader. To improve, the student needs to practice forming correct complex sentence structures and monitor basic grammatical accuracy such as punctuation and verb forms.
