Workers faced a lot of issues when managing their working hours and work life balance. In pakistan,12 hours shift are mostly common with low pay scale. Many labour workers are doing 12 hours job without getting enough pay.Workers policies are not fully implemented according to policies developed by National labour council.Subsequently, mostly workers are still underpaid in 2026.For example,Pharmacy technician have a payscale of about 35000 which donot meet the finances of current lifestyle.Petrol, food, travelling and clothing are very expensive. They cannot afford even their daily life expenses. There is shortage of gas and water in all areas of pakistan. So pa of a middle class person is not upto the mark.Rich persons, landlords and businessman can afford the expenses and live a luxurious life.Lower income middle class can only afford if all persons in their home earn money and do a job.The monthly income which mostly healthcare workers is not more than 1 lac and vary between 50k to 80k starting pay for a experienced healthcare worker. The job market is also not good and saturated. One cannot get a job without a reference. Those who have strong reference can easily get a job whereas others remain unemployed even after getting a masters degree.Even after masters, some companies require some certifications as well.Working hours of every field is different.RMOs,nurses, pharmacist and technicians works for more than 50 hours.Although it is clearly mentioned that not more than 48 hours a worker can work in a 7 day.Otherwise, penalty will be enforced by labour council.Polices are only written but it is nit fully implemented. Many organizations have their own policies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response addresses the task only minimally, as it shifts the focus away from the main prompt regarding shorter working weeks and longer weekends to discuss broader economic issues, low pay, and employment hurdles in Pakistan. While the writer touches on working hours near the end by mentioning that 'RMOs, nurses, pharmacist and technicians works for more than 50 hours,' there is no clear position maintained throughout the essay regarding the prompt itself. Ideas are limited and under-developed, resulting in a tangential treatment of the core question about changing the structure of the working week.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
Information and ideas are not arranged coherently within this text. The response consists of a single, continuous block of text without proper paragraphing to group related concepts, which hinders the overall progression. While there are some basic cohesive ties like 'Subsequently' and 'For example,' referencing is frequently unclear, and the rapid jumping between salaries, inflation, utility shortages, job references, and working hours creates a disjointed structure that lacks a clear overall organization.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used represents a limited but minimally adequate range for discussing workplace topics, featuring terms such as 'work life balance,' 'healthcare workers,' and 'unemployed.' However, there are noticeable errors in word form, spelling, and collocation that cause some difficulty for the reader, such as 'nit fully implemented' (not fully implemented), 'pa' instead of pay, and '1 lac.' Less common vocabulary is attempted with occasional inaccuracies, which keeps the lexical score constrained.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent errors in basic grammar and punctuation. There are notable issues with subject-verb agreement and plurals, such as '12 hours shift are mostly common,' 'Pharmacy technician have,' and 'Working hours of every field is different.' Attempts at complex or conditional ideas are often faulty, and frequent errors in articles and prepositions cause regular difficulty for the reader in tracking the meaning.
