Student answer (Band 5.5)
The balance between the work and your life is necessary to developed by any working individual with their own working days respectively. The work-life balance have thier own significant impact and importance in real life to be healthy. Definitely, I agree with the point that working week should be shorter and more qualitative rather than six days of quantitative working week without any productivity.
There is myth regarding quantity, that more hours you work more you have a chance to get succeed and get promoted in your career. But it contradicts the fact that more successful working individual have their own personalised hours of working and holidays who never sit for extra hours and enjoy their long weekends. Even after shorter quantitative working days and hours than any other average individual, they are more progrssive and productive.
However, we never say about the individuals who need to work for 24/7 even on sundays. For example Fire Fighters, intelligence department agents, Doctors etc. cannot rely on weekend, which enourmously very from even a single holiday.
Many of companies now understanding the fact that, wokers having more active hours need long weekends for refreshening their mind especially IT, Software makers etc. They usually need to be continuosly active by their minds to develop complex systems with logic and overview. They usually have 3-4 workding days and joyfull long weekends. Unlike there is less chance of sales or marketing guy to get even holiday on saturday. On the other hand, due to highly busy hours of some finance individual will also end up without any weekend holidays. Factory workers and labours have no rights to get leave on single day which
In conclusion, there should be a work life balance of every individual workers in the industry with their own personalized routine and working nature. As living life along with work schedule should be equally important which turn your life with spectacular joy and happiness.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position on whether the working week should be shortened and workers should have a longer weekend. Relevant ideas are introduced, such as the relationship between shorter working hours and increased productivity, as well as exceptions for essential services like healthcare and firefighting. However, some ideas remain under-developed or lack sufficient extension. For instance, the discussion on various industries in the fourth paragraph becomes a disconnected list of assertions regarding IT workers, sales personnel, and factory labourers without fully explaining how these examples directly support the main argument about a shorter working week. To move to a higher band, the writer needs to ensure all main points are thoroughly elaborated with well-supported arguments and fully relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear stance stated in the introduction and reiterated in the conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised to separate distinct ideas, such as the myth of working long hours versus productivity, and the exceptions for essential workers. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen with ambiguous pronouns and disjointed transitions between sentences, particularly in the fourth paragraph where sentences regarding different job sectors follow one another without smooth logical bridges. Additionally, the final sentence of the fourth paragraph cuts off abruptly, which disrupts the logical progression. To achieve a higher band, the writer should employ a wider and more accurate range of cohesive devices and ensure that referencing and paragraph transitions guide the reader clearly through the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student displays an adequate range of vocabulary for the task and attempts to use less common items such as 'quantitative', 'qualitative', and 'progrssive'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that reflect a limited control of lexical features. Examples include 'to developed' instead of 'to be developed', 'have thier own' with a spelling error, 'succeed' used where 'success' is intended, 'enourmously very' instead of 'enormously vary', and 'refreshening' instead of 'refreshing'. While these inaccuracies do not completely impede communication, they prevent the writing from achieving a more precise and natural style. To improve, the writer should focus on accurate word forms, correct collocations, and careful proofreading to eliminate spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammatical structures is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and prepositions within grammatical patterns. Examples of errors include 'The balance between the work and your life is necessary to developed', 'more successful working individual have', and 'due to highly busy hours of some finance individual will also end up'. Furthermore, punctuation and sentence boundaries show weakness, culminating in an incomplete final sentence in the fourth paragraph ('...which'). Although these errors rarely impede overall communication, they occur frequently enough to restrict the response. To reach a higher band, the writer needs to demonstrate better control over complex sentence structures and significantly reduce basic grammatical errors.
