Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that working week should be small and employes should have a large weekend. I completely agree with this view because it give mental relaxation and work life balance.
One important reason why I agree is that mental relaxation. This is because after work for long contineues days it is important to take a break . For example, In corporate mostley employes go for 6 continues days and and they get 1 holiday for rest that is not enough. As a result, employes not give there full efeciency. Furthermore, Place like dubai give 3 days weakend from friday to sunday and for this on monday workers are come fresh and relax becouse the get enough meantal rest from work.
Another significant reason is that work life balance. Everyone have other nesasaery works that they should have to do and it is not posible to do all in one sunday more over all of us is earning for make our famely happey but if we dont get enough time to spend it with our famalyes then all labour is useless. For instance, Western country have strict labour laws by that they all get large weakend and the spend this on beaches, park or any other intresting place with famely . Consequently, The good work life balance is make job also intresting and famly also happy becouse you are dowing all nessasary dutyes properly.
In conclusion, I completely agree that longer weekend and short weekdays . This is mainly because it is nessary for good state of mind as well as you get good work life balance .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position throughout in agreement with the prompt. The writer extends and supports ideas, such as discussing mental relaxation and work-life balance, though there is a tendency to over-generalise, as seen when claiming that 'Place like dubai give 3 days weakend'. The main ideas are generally well supported with relevant examples, such as referencing corporate working hours and Western labour laws. To reach a higher band, the ideas would need more precise and fully elaborated support without over-generalising specific regional practices as universal standards.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response demonstrates a clear logical organisation and progression throughout, fully meeting the criteria for a solid structure while beginning to show aspects of a higher level. Ideas are structured into clear paragraphs, starting with an introduction, followed by body paragraphs focusing on mental relaxation and work-life balance, and concluding with a summary. The writer uses cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Another significant reason', 'For instance', and 'In conclusion' to signal the flow of ideas. However, referencing is sometimes not entirely clear, and some cohesive devices feel slightly mechanical, which prevents the response from achieving a higher level of cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and displays noticeable errors that may cause some difficulty for the reader. The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'efficiency', 'corporate', and 'labour laws', but these attempts are often marred by errors in spelling and word choice. There are numerous spelling mistakes throughout the text, including 'employes', 'contineues', 'mostley', 'efeciency', 'weakend', 'becouse', 'meantal', 'nesasaery', 'posible', 'famely', 'dowing', and 'nessary'. Additionally, awkward word choices like 'working week should be small' and 'make our famely happey' show that the vocabulary is limited and sometimes strains communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The grammatical range is limited, relying heavily on a mix of simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex structures. There are frequent errors in grammar, punctuation, and article usage that can cause difficulty for the reader. For example, subject-verb agreement and verb forms are frequently problematic, such as 'working week should be', 'it give mental relaxation', 'employes not give there full efeciency', 'workers are come fresh', and 'Everyone have other nesasaery works'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas in complex structures and unnecessary spaces. To improve, the writer needs to increase the accuracy of basic grammatical patterns and ensure better control over tense and agreement.
