Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this context I agree with this statement that working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. In corporate job sector people are keen to
find time for themselves because of their strict job schedule. That's why i want support this statement.
The major reasons of my support to this statement is people wants to have some free time with their family or freinds but due their large timing shift in a job make it impossible. Also people wants to improve their skills for promotion but they stuck at their for a long time and after their jobs they feel exhausted and keen to rest.
Some people works hybridly those can make some extra time for themselves. In current days some offices also provides work from home which can be benificial for some sort of people. If a employee get a longer weekend they can mannage their home also because people who live in abroad has a lot of work in grocceries, jobs and studies.A longer weekend can save a lot of time for students and busy corporates in abroad.
So for all of these reasons i made a practical decision that why i strongly agree with the statement.I also discussed some minor changes which is favour of my opinion and i am also student so from my prespective the statement convey right meaning.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
For this criterion, the response addresses the task only partially. It is important to note first that the response contains only 212 words, meaning the minimum length requirement of 250 words was not met (note that 12 words copied directly from the prompt were excluded from this count). Regarding content, your position is stated in the introduction, but the ideas presented to support it remain limited and under-developed. For instance, you mention that people want to spend time with family or friends and improve their skills, but these points are expressed superficially without extended explanation or concrete examples. To move to a higher band, you would need to write a fully developed essay that exceeds the minimum word count and expands each main point with detailed reasoning and relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
In terms of coherence and cohesion, the response demonstrates some organisation, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. The essay is presented in a very compressed structure with insufficient paragraphing, making it feel like one continuous block of text rather than distinct conceptual sections. Furthermore, cohesive devices are sometimes inadequate or repetitive, such as the frequent reliance on simple connectors like 'Also' and 'So'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, as seen in phrases like 'those can make some extra time' where the antecedent is vague. To achieve a higher score, you need to group your ideas into logical paragraphs with clear topic sentences and use a wider, more natural variety of cohesive devices to guide the reader smoothly through your arguments.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your lexical resource is limited but minimally adequate for the task. You attempt some topic-specific vocabulary related to the workplace, such as 'corporate job sector', 'strict job schedule', and 'work from home', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'benificial' instead of beneficial, 'mannage' instead of manage, and 'grocceries' instead of groceries. There are also unnatural collocations like 'large timing shift'. These errors sometimes cause slight difficulty for the reader. To improve in this area, you should focus on expanding your vocabulary range, paying close attention to correct word forms and spelling, and learning how words naturally combine in common collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent attempts at complex sentences that turn out faulty. There are multiple grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'people wants' instead of people want, 'a employee' instead of an employee, and missing articles or incorrect prepositions in phrases like 'stuck at their for a long time'. Punctuation is also weak, notably with missing spaces after periods and commas. These frequent errors cause occasional difficulty for the reader. To reach the next level, you must demonstrate better control over basic sentence patterns, ensure correct subject-verb agreement, and incorporate error-free complex structures with accurate punctuation.
