Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's busy world, people should work fewer days during the week and get more days off at the weekend. I strongly agree with this statement although work is an important, at the same time better mental health and famly time is also essential part of human life.
To beginn with, a short working week can reduce the stress among employees. A person who worked hard cotinously throughout the week must have that right of less working hours. For example, a person who is working as a labour on a construction site to fulfill the need of his family, but because of that burden of responsibilities on his shoulder need to be relaxed and stressed free. Therefore, short working hours/days should be allow for the workers, which is essential for their mental health.
Furthermore, workers would have more time spend with their families and participate in personal activities. spending time with the family halps them to create strong bond with their family members, because during working days they cannot able to spend time with family. For instance, a person who has their job far from home almost 3 to 4 hours, in such situation they cannot spent their quality time with their family and cannot able to focus on their personal activities as well. As a reason, longer weekend play a major role for a working personnel.
In conclusion, i agree that the worker week should be shoter and they should have a longer weekend because it can reduce stress and give them more time for their personal life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position on whether the working week should be shorter and the weekend longer. Relevant ideas are introduced regarding stress reduction and family time. However, some ideas remain under-developed or unclear. For instance, the example of a construction site worker touches on relevant points about responsibilities and stress, but the explanation lacks depth and specific support. To move closer to higher bands, the writer needs to fully extend and support all arguments with clearer, more detailed examples rather than relying on brief assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Information and ideas are generally organized logically, and the writer attempts to use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion'. Nevertheless, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and referencing is not always clear, as seen in repetitive phrasing and awkward transitions between sentences like 'As a reason, longer weekend play a major role for a working personnel.' Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate distinct ideas, but smoother logical progression between sentences is needed to reach the next band.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'mental health', 'responsibilities', and 'personal activities'. However, there are noticeable spelling, word-choice, and word-formation errors throughout the text, including 'famly', 'Beginn', 'cotinously', 'stressed free', and 'allow' instead of 'allowed'. While these errors do not seriously impede communication, they reflect a limited and minimally adequate range where vocabulary control is inconsistent. Expanding lexical control and ensuring accurate word forms will significantly improve this area.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as 'A person who worked hard cotinously...' and 'For instance, a person who has their job far from home...'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors in verb forms, tenses, and sentence structures, such as 'cannot able to spend' and 'worker week should be shoter'. These errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. To improve, the writer should focus on mastering basic clause structures, improving subject-verb agreement, and reducing the frequency of grammatical slips in complex sentences.
