Student answer (Band 6.0)

The employees must have a prolonged weekend and shorter working week days. However, I agree with this viewpoint because of improved physical and mental health and maintained balance between work and personal life.

One of the major reason for my agreement is improved physical and mental health. This is due to fact that if people get long weekends, then they will have a time to focus on their physical and mental health which can leads to the the healthy lifestyle and they may not face any problem in future physically. For example, masses can do work with more consistency and dedication by getting longer weekends because their mind get relaxed. Therefore, individuals health can be get improved.

Another worth considering reason is maintained balance between work and personal life. To reason given due to, people can use their time in participating in their hobbies by which they can feel delighted. By prolonged weekends people not only live healthy life, but also enjoy their personal life, they have a time to spend with their loved ones by which their bond get strong in relationships. For example, masses can also plan trips with family members for having a memorable time with family. Thus, masses can enjoy their time with their family members.

To conclude, it is clear from above mentioned point that the idea of longer weekend and shorter weedays seems practical and can bring prosperity for the society and people. Therefore, it would be wise to accept this idea and promote it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by clearly stating a position agreeing with the prompt. Relevant ideas are presented, such as improved physical and mental health and work-life balance, but some ideas are slightly under-developed or repetitive. For instance, the discussion on physical health in the second paragraph relies on general assertions rather than fully extended, specific support. The response meets the requirements for a solid performance at this level by maintaining a clear stance throughout, though further extension of the supporting arguments would be needed to reach a higher level.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct main ideas. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and repetitive, particularly with transitions like 'For example' and 'Thus, masses can...' Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in the phrasing 'To reason given due to'. While the logical progression is generally apparent, the overuse of certain cohesive devices and slightly clunky linking phrases prevent the essay from achieving a more fluid organizational style.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'prolonged weekend', 'prosperity', and 'delighted'. However, there are noticeable limitations and inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'working week days' instead of 'workdays' or 'weekdays', 'individuals health can be get improved', and 'weedays'. These lexical slips and awkward word formations reflect a limited operational range, though the meaning remains generally clear and communication is not severely impeded.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures frequently contain errors. There are several issues with verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as 'One of the major reason' instead of 'reasons', 'can leads to the the healthy lifestyle', and 'their mind get relaxed'. Punctuation and structural patterns also show persistent flaws, with frequent errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The control of grammar is characteristic of a developing command where basic errors still heavily outnumber error-free complex sentences.
