Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is widely acknowledged that the people should be jobs working week is shorter while other employes trust that workers should need to extented breeak. I strongly agree with this view, as workers should need to have a longer holiday period.
To begin with, there are many individuals busy in their works so they need to take long weekend break. Firstly, human have no time to talk with each others like families, friends, children. So, they can not spent time with their family because they take extra stress for their works, family. They have need to longer weekend , then they can easily mange their works and spend time with others. For example, an employes always stressed about their they doing their work in weekend holidays. Secondly, if human do work long they are suffering from some diseases like depression, mental stress, uncontrole blood pressure, thyroid. So workers should have longer weekend then they can not take any tension. If people doing works long time with overthinking it is chance for heart attack. Human have longer weekend they are going any place to overcome their stress and they feel relaxed and exteremy happy, so they can easily concentrate on their works without any tension.
On the other hand, some people think that working week should be shorter. If the working week are shorter people do not tackle any problems. They can manage their works easily and enjoy their life. Human spend most time with their family and friends. They going at any place at anytime. For instance, workers spend their recreationl time with their family to go for long drive. It is method of solve difficulities and mind fresh.
In conclusion, workers have need to long break, so companies and other department provide longer weekend, then they are happy

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear, albeit repetitive, position in strong agreement with the statement. However, the ideas remain limited and under-developed throughout the body paragraphs. For instance, the discussion on health issues like 'depression, mental stress, uncontrole blood pressure, thyroid' is a list of assertions without sufficient elaboration or concrete examples. The student attempts to cover both parts of the prompt regarding shorter working weeks and longer weekends, but the arguments lack depth and tend to generalise broadly without fully supporting the main position, reflecting a partial treatment of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some organisational structure with basic linking words such as 'To begin with', 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'On the other hand'. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and the relationships between sentences often feel disjointed. Cohesive devices are frequently inaccurate, repetitive, or mechanically applied, such as the abrupt transitions between health concerns and relaxation. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal logical flow of the body paragraphs is disrupted by repetitive phrasing and unclear referencing, making the progression difficult to follow at times.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate to discuss the topic. The student relies on basic, repetitive words and experiences noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling, such as 'employes', 'extented breeak', 'mange', and 'exteremy'. There are also frequent collocational awkwardness and word formation slips, like 'recreationl time' and 'mind fresh'. These lexical inaccuracies occasionally cause difficulty for the reader in grasping the precise meaning, though communication is generally maintained.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The text exhibits a very limited range of structures, with most sentences relying on simple or poorly executed complex forms. There are frequent errors in grammar, articles, plurals, and subject-verb agreement throughout the essay, such as 'the people should be jobs working week', 'human have no time', and 'If people doing works long time'. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to frequent errors that impede fluency and can cause difficulty and confusion for the reader regarding the intended meaning.
