Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that working days in week should be less so that employees can enjoys a long weekend. I completely agree with this because shorter weekend can not allows to end up with unfinished chores as well as it can negatively effect mental and physical health of worker.
The significant reason of less week off days is messed up routine on these days because people mostly left all the duties such as cleaning, washing, traveling for off days but it is very difficult to finish them all in just 2 days. Addditionally, people are rushing through them in order to finish. Consequently, they become tired so instead of boosting themselves for next days their energies got lower. For example, i am a working mother, i have to manage my home along my hospital duty so i left most of the household work with personal commitments on saturday and sunday. that's why these days become more hectic for me.
Another important reason is its negative impact on mental and physical health. As most of the responsibilites are completed on weekend regarding home, friends and family. But there is lack of time for workers to spent time in their hobbies to relax there mind and body. Despite relaxing mental burden this practice of rushing between duties put additional pressure on mind. Furthermore, this terribaly effects on productivity which every worker needed on their work place. Moreover, this rotine make them physically weak because no one have time to work on their diet and routine checkups.
To sum up, i strongly agree that the working days should be less and the worker should have enjoy longer weekends. So, they become more productive and efficient, it can positively impact on their performance and chances of progress both individually and mutually.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the opening—“I completely agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give two relevant reasons: weekend chores leave workers tired, and limited time to relax can affect health and productivity. The example of balancing hospital work with household duties makes the first point personal and concrete. This meets the task well, with ideas extended and supported. To strengthen the response further, develop the link between a shorter working week and a longer weekend more explicitly: explain how the extra day would allow recovery or improve work performance, rather than mainly describing the problems caused by two days off. The health argument would also benefit from a specific example or clearer explanation of how the proposed change addresses it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a concluding summary. The progression from household pressures to health and productivity is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Another important reason,” “Furthermore,” and “To sum up” help guide the reader. This is coherent and meets the lower-band expectations, with some features of stronger cohesion. However, several links feel mechanical or do not express the relationship accurately. For example, “As most of the responsibilities are completed on weekend regarding home, friends and family. But…” is a sentence fragment followed by a contrast that is not clearly established. Combine and clarify these ideas, and use pronouns such as “these days” only when their reference is unmistakable.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main points, including “household work,” “mental and physical health,” “productivity,” and “performance.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “personal commitments” and “additional pressure.” However, inaccurate word forms, spelling, and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “can enjoys,” “negatively effect,” “responsibilites,” “terribaly effects,” and “rotine.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “less week off days” and “boosting themselves for next days.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than more ambitious wording: for instance, use “a shorter working week,” “recover before the next working week,” and “have time to pursue hobbies.” Proofreading spelling and word forms would improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect structures with “because,” “so,” and “Consequently.” This gives the response some variety, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect fluency. Examples include “employees can enjoys,” “shorter weekend can not allows,” and “no one have time,” where verb forms or subject–verb agreement are incorrect. The sentence beginning “As most of the responsibilities…” is incomplete, while “Despite relaxing mental burden this practice…” lacks a clear grammatical structure. Articles and plurals also need attention, as in “in week” and “the worker.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check agreement, verb forms, and punctuation before adding subordinate clauses.
