Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is a ongoing debate that employers should be taken more off from their office work. Some people believe that the working week for the workers should be shorter and their weekends must be expanded. I largely agree with this trend, as it provides a time of relaxation to the staff and they would start their work with fresh mind.
There are several reasons that supports this trend. One of the major reason that defend this idea is employer's increasing stress in their daily life because they have a pressure of their office work and family as well. In their long working days they are unable to find quality time with their friends and family. Decreasing their office time provide a time to make holidays and trips which helps them to reduce their stress and make their mind more refreshing. Furthermore, if a person working consistenly may be feel exhausted and boring to the workplace that may lead to make mistakes professionally which is highly inferior for both company and the people.
Moreover, deteriotion of working days for employers helps them in personal manner as they can spend time on themselves and enhance their skills that will be also valuable for the company. For instance, an individual who has low communication skills, can improve them in their free time by attending some exhibitions and different fests or campagins.
In conclusion, although working for shorter period of time can be awful for the company at some extent. However, it helps individuals to reduce their exhaustion and staring working from a refreshing and stress free mind. Also, spending the time of weekends on themselves provide a keen value of enhancing skills which is also beneficial for company.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you largely agree because a longer weekend can help workers relax and return with a fresh mind. You address both personal benefits and a possible cost to companies, and the examples about spending time with family and improving communication skills are relevant. This covers the task, but some points are not fully explained. For example, the claim that shorter working weeks help workers attend exhibitions or campaigns could be linked more clearly to how this benefits employers. The opposing point that shorter hours may be “awful for the company” is also introduced only briefly. Develop these ideas with clearer explanation or a specific example to make the argument more complete and convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. The progression from reducing stress to developing personal skills is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help show the stages of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The second body paragraph begins with “deteriotion of working days,” which does not clearly express the intended link between shorter working hours and personal development. The conclusion also repeats several points from the body rather than bringing them together precisely. Use clearer topic sentences and make references such as “this trend” or “it” unambiguous; vary linking methods by showing the relationship between ideas, not just adding a connector.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “quality time,” “exhausted,” “communication skills” and “reduce their stress,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at less common wording, such as “enhance their skills” and “professionally.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear. For example, “taken more off from their office work,” “deteriotion of working days” and “staring working” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “consistenly,” “campagins” and “refreshing” also need correction or more suitable forms. Focus on accurate workplace collocations and check spelling, especially in key topic phrases, so your vocabulary communicates ideas precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “as” and a conditional example with “if.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors occur in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction. For instance, “There is a ongoing debate” needs an article that agrees with the following vowel sound, while “There are several reasons that supports” has a plural subject with a singular verb. In “Decreasing their office time provide,” the subject also requires a singular verb, and “an individual who has low communication skills, can improve them” has an unnecessary comma and an awkward clause structure. Review subject–verb agreement and article use, and proofread complex sentences to ensure each clause is complete and correctly connected.
