Student answer (Band 4.5)
Every man who is doing any job must want a long break form his busy life. Because he feel tiredness from his routine.
I am totally dissagree with this statement . I think long reliefe from work is not effective. For example, if we have a short time for work in office ,we will try to close the work because, we will not easily complete our daily tasks. We feel burden on mind and want to get break. In this way we are addicted to enjoy a long free time . So, we can not want to do more work.
On the other hand , long weakend for employers have many bad effects. Workers become lazy, non organised and non focused. They feel laziness and tired because they spend a lot of free time. So, after the long break they can't bear any burden. So this may loose their performance. And this have a bad effect on their future.
When we have a short time for our job and have a lot of tasks to complete this situation become difficult for us. we feel tention and burden on mind. when we have a long time for work then we can easily complete our work and feel happy.
To sum up, I would really prefer a long working weekend and a short break for worker in the weekend.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear disagreement and give relevant reasons, including that workers may become less focused after a long break and that a shorter working period can make tasks difficult to complete. However, the response only partially develops the issue: it does not explain why a shorter working week itself would be harmful, or consider possible benefits of a longer weekend. Several claims, such as workers becoming “lazy” or being unable to “bear any burden,” are asserted rather than supported with a specific example. The conclusion also says you prefer “a long working weekend,” which conflicts with your stated preference for a short weekend. The response is 23 words below the required minimum, leaving less space to develop your argument. Explain your position consistently and support each main reason with a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation: you introduce your view, present concerns about longer weekends, and finish with a summary. Linking expressions such as “For example,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of the response. However, progression is limited because ideas repeat—for instance, feeling tired, burdened, or unable to manage work appears in several places—and the final paragraph introduces a point about having more time to complete tasks without clearly connecting it to your disagreement. “So” is also used repeatedly, and the conclusion contradicts the position stated earlier. Give each paragraph one distinct purpose, connect reasons explicitly, and ensure the conclusion restates the same position as the introduction.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a basic range of vocabulary related to work and rest, including “daily tasks,” “performance,” “free time,” and “routine,” so the general topic is understandable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “long reliefe from work,” “long weakend,” “feel laziness,” and “loose their performance.” Spelling errors such as “dissagree,” “tention,” and “non organised” also reduce accuracy. Aim to use precise, natural phrases for workplace effects and vary repeated words such as “long,” “work,” and “burden.” Learning common collocations will help you express your ideas more clearly and appropriately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple sentences and longer clauses, including a conditional structure in “if we have a short time for work in office, we will try to close the work.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, and verb forms. For example, “Because he feel tiredness” is an incomplete sentence with incorrect agreement, while “this situation become difficult” and “this have a bad effect” do not maintain subject–verb agreement. Some sentences also run together or are separated awkwardly, as in “When we have a short time … we feel tention and burden on mind. when we have a long time…”. Practise complete sentences, consistent capitalisation, and accurate subject–verb forms; then combine ideas using controlled clauses.
