Student answer (Band 5.5)
The working week should be lesser and the employees should have a longer weekend. I am totally agree with this idea.My point of view is written below.
There are several reasons for this to be posive change for workers. Firstly, workers need some days to release their tension made up by work of the full week. in addition to that many workers employers give full pressure to employess in order to reach their goal in less time. Owners always want their firm to lead the market against their competitors, As a result they want their workers to do hard work for them. This led to an unnecessary stress build up over every employee. Secondly, employees have their family but due to working pressure they are not able to give enough time to their loved onse. because of this they feel the society pressure as well as working pressure. For instance, when a worker works for the company and put his all efforts to finish the work of their working area they deserve the holidays to wind down after their daily schedule. Owing to this they can spend some good time with their families and friends and prepare their selves for further week.
When employees get long weekend, they get time for relaxation and to rest after a long week. Thirdly, employees can be more disciplined and consistant in their work as they get more time to do the activities that they love such as walking, playing or roaming around the garden.
In conclusion, If i am an employee i prefer long weekend for refreshing after long working hours. Employees should also provide their workers long break as weekend holidays it is not only good for employees but also for the bosses as employees get motivation to work more if they are happy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the opening—“I am totally agree with this idea”—and the conclusion reinforces your support for a longer weekend. You give relevant reasons, including reducing work-related stress, spending time with family, and having opportunities to relax or pursue activities. These points address the task and are supported with some explanation, such as the example of workers needing time to “wind down.” However, the discussion is uneven: the point about being more disciplined and consistent is introduced but not explained, and the response does not consider how a shorter week might affect employers or productivity. The personal example is also general rather than specific. More developed support and a clearer explanation of the benefits would strengthen the argument further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has an overall structure, with an introduction, a main discussion, and a conclusion, and the ideas generally move from stress to family time and relaxation. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Thirdly” help readers follow the main points. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and some links are unclear or repetitive. For example, “When employees get long weekend” repeats the relaxation idea immediately before it, while “Owing to this” does not clearly identify which preceding point it refers to. The first body paragraph also contains several different ideas in one long block. Give each main reason a clearer paragraph, use pronouns and linking phrases with precise references, and avoid repeating the same benefit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “working pressure,” “competitors,” “motivation,” and “relaxation,” so the main ideas are understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the reader pause. Examples include “lesser” for a shorter working week, “release their tension,” “society pressure,” and “prepare their selves.” There are also spelling errors such as “posive,” “employess,” “loved onse,” and “consistant.” Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions for workload, stress, family responsibilities, and employee wellbeing would help you express your argument more naturally and flexibly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “as,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, errors occur across sentence structures, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “I am totally agree” should be “I totally agree,” and “when a worker works … and put his all efforts” has inconsistent verb forms and agreement. In “When employees get long weekend,” an article is missing, while “If i am an employee” needs correct capitalisation and punctuation. Several sentences also run together, such as the opening and parts of the conclusion. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
