Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You do express a position: the conclusion says that two weekend days are enough, so you disagree with extending the weekend. However, the opening claim that workers have different opinions is not developed, and the response does not clearly explain whether or why the working week itself should be shorter. The discussion shifts between earning money, family needs, and weekend leisure without establishing a clear argument about the proposed change. For example, “money are more important” is offered as a reason, but its connection to shorter working hours is unclear. To strengthen the response, state your position directly in the introduction and develop two relevant reasons with specific explanations or examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt to organise the response into an opening, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and expressions such as “First of all,” “One way,” and “In Conclusion” signal stages of the discussion. However, ideas are not arranged in a coherent progression: the first body paragraph moves from income to family expenses and wishes, while the next combines laziness, single people, family outings, and the number of weekend days. Connections between sentences are often unclear, and repeated references to “weekend” do not show how each point relates to the argument. Plan one main idea per paragraph, then use clear linking sentences to explain how each example supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses some task-related vocabulary, including “working week,” “expenses,” “family,” “holidays,” and “weekend,” so the topic is recognisable. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and inaccurate word choice or spelling sometimes makes meaning difficult to follow. Phrases such as “worker man,” “daily bases vital item,” and “execute the rule of his country” are unclear or unnatural in this context; “moeny” and “disgaree” also show spelling problems. Build a more precise vocabulary for work schedules and their effects, and check collocations and spelling. For instance, describe “household expenses” or “family responsibilities” rather than relying on repeated, vague references to money and wishes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

You attempt to form longer sentences and use basic connectors, but sentence structures are very limited and frequent errors often distort the intended meaning. Examples include “I'm agree to working week are shorter,” “One individual are,” and “weekend are not a shorter and not a longer,” where agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction are not controlled. Articles and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “at home at other side” and “Yes,I'm.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine related ideas with clauses such as “because” or “although.” Check subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, for example, “I agree that the working week should be shorter.”
