Student answer (Band 4.5)
Tthere is no denying fact that the phenomena of brief working day and longer weekend. majority of folks in the favour of this statement due to number of merits. However, some of the people highlight its demerits first. I disagree with this statement, in my further paragraph I will be discussed.
Initiating with the reason of the same, the first and foremost reason is that if people prefer to long weekend in thei life and desire to short working week so how the manage their household, if they do not work more so they must face many difficulties in their life because finance is very importent to living luxury lifestyle. Furtheremore, in present era most of the people prefer to travelling worldwide therefore they have need support of the money. They should not affort to survive happy life without working long time.
On the other hand, I think they should working hard and long time to generate income insted of rest. Another, if people prefer to long weekend so many professions are loss their business and people even face with difficulty to buy products and other items. For example, clothes, food products, household items etc. Last but not least, we
In conclusion, to the above statement, it is a mixed bag of positives and negatives. Hence the statement should not be underestimated. My perspective people should enhance their working day insted of weeekwnd. As well as company should give more working hours to employee rather than holiday.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
Your position is stated as disagreement, and you give relevant reasons involving household finances, travel costs and the availability of goods. However, the response only partially develops the argument: the financial point is repeated in different forms, while the claim that longer weekends cause businesses to lose trade is not explained or supported with a clear example. The introduction mentions that some people highlight disadvantages, but the essay does not clearly set out or examine the opposing view. The final body paragraph also ends abruptly at “Last but not least, we”, leaving an idea unfinished. The response is three words below the required minimum, and the limited development makes it harder to address the question fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” signal stages of the response. However, progression is difficult to follow because links between claims are not always clear. For example, the move from longer weekends to businesses losing trade, then to customers having difficulty buying products, needs an explicit explanation. The second body paragraph is incomplete, and the conclusion introduces a “mixed bag of positives and negatives” despite the stated disagreement, which weakens the overall line of argument. Use each paragraph to develop one main point in a clear sequence, and ensure that references and transitions show how each idea supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “household,” “generate income,” “professions” and “worldwide,” and the reader can generally identify your main subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts of the argument difficult to understand. Examples include “the phenomena of brief working day,” “finance is very importent to living luxury lifestyle,” and “professions are loss their business.” Spelling errors such as “affort,” “insted” and “weeekwnd” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common collocations for employment, income and leisure, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you express the economic consequences you intend to describe.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt longer sentences with conditional clauses, as in “if people prefer to long weekend… so how the manage their household,” but these structures are often faulty and the response relies heavily on basic sentence patterns. Errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction frequently obscure meaning: “I will be discussed,” “they should working hard,” and “people even face with difficulty” are examples. Some sentences also lack a complete grammatical structure, particularly the opening statement and the unfinished “Last but not least, we”. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then build accurate conditional and reason clauses. Check verb patterns after modal verbs and ensure each sentence expresses a complete idea.
