Student answer (Band 5.0)
There are many perspectives of people about the shorter working weeks and longer weekend. Some people want working week shorter and longer weekend. On the other hand, some people want longer working week ratherthan shorter and they want weekend shorter.I agree with the statement of longer working week and shorter weekend.I think that the weekend is enough for two days only.
I think that longer working week can do alot of the changing in people life.It can earn them more experience, handsome pay and good rankings in the office or in the company. If a person works for five days in a week,he still gets two days holiday.Working more and more can increase experience of people and they can tackle any problem with their information and learnings.Lets suppose,if a person who gets more holidays and less working days,he sometimes can become a victim of low confidence and lack of information related to problem-solving.He will be unable to do any kind of the work on any project and it can decreases its reputation in company or between colleagues. He will be not able to respond to the questions ask related to his project and he can becomes lazy due to longer vacations.
The people who take longer holidays and do less work can have bad impact on their overall life. They can become mentally upset after not getting good reviews about their projects and become frastrated. They can giveup soon in long runs.
On the otherhand, there are people who want want longer weekends and shorter week for working.I disagree with this statement of the people.I think longer weekend can ruin your project and you will be unable to tackle problems before sumbetting you project. If a participant from any company do less work and take long holidays,he is basically ruining his work life and its results can be fatal.
To conclude,i think there should be balance in people livings and they should be able to carry on their work maanagement along with shorter weekend.I think if people start to make balance between their work and time they want to spend with their family and friends, they will be able to have success in life. They should spend weekend with thier lovedones and make theirselves happy and relax. In my opinion,if people start to do overtime in their jobs,it can become frastrating and more impact on their mental health for them.Due to this,i want to say having balanced is only way to survive both workloads and time to spend with their closeone.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is stated: you support a shorter working week? In fact, you write, “I agree with the statement of longer working week and shorter weekend,” so your view is that the working week should not be shorter. You give relevant reasons, including gaining experience and maintaining confidence, but these points are mostly asserted rather than explained with specific examples or clear links to the proposed change. The response also shifts towards discussing overtime and work-life balance, which makes the position less consistent: the conclusion says balance matters, without clearly resolving whether the working week should be longer or simply remain as it is. Develop two focused reasons and explain how each supports your answer to the exact question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, several body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “On the other hand” and “To conclude” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because ideas repeat or conflict. For example, the opening supports a longer working week, while the conclusion emphasises balance and warns that overtime can harm mental health. Some paragraphs also move between confidence, project performance and frustration without clearly showing how these points connect. Linking expressions are sometimes used mechanically, and references such as “it” and “they” can be unclear. Organise the essay around a consistent position, with one main reason per paragraph and a clear explanation of each.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to work and wellbeing, including “experience,” “problem-solving,” “reputation,” and “mental health.” This gives you enough language to communicate the general topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning harder to understand. Examples include “handsome pay,” “do alot of the changing,” “bad impact,” and “giveup soon in long runs.” Spelling and word formation also need attention, as in “sumbetting,” “frastrated,” and “maanagement.” Aim to learn common academic collocations and check spelling carefully; choosing precise, familiar expressions is more effective than using an uncertain phrase.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If a person works for five days in a week, he still gets two days holiday.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction can make the reader pause. For example, “it can decreases its reputation” has an incorrect verb form, while “he can becomes lazy” has the same problem; “the questions ask related to his project” is also not grammatically well formed. Punctuation and spacing around commas are inconsistent, and some sentences run together. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly controlled subordinate clause, then proofread for subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
