Student answer (Band 5.5)
The business week should be briefer and employees should have a extended weekend. It create a good expression on the job seeker life and in the short break they will fulfil their necessity and also they enjoy this time with their family.
Firstly, to have short break in the seven days, I think it provides a lot of relaxation, refreshment, soulless to your body and you can also fulfil your due works. For instance, a few people want to go outside and meet their family and also with friends to share some ideas and for mind relaxation so mostly people are waiting for this specific time. A few time mostly people arrange their marriage ceremonies in the weekend therefore, workers can attend it in the week holidays.
On the other hand , a shorter working week improves productivity and work life balance. When staff member get a long weekend, they return to work more refreshed motivated and also focused. This reduces stress and burden of life, leading to better performance. There are many benefits of have a short weekend in the week. For instance, Its boost the economy of the country also like people are spend their time in travelling and go outside wither families for picnic because people will more more extra time for travelling, shopping and tourism, This also help to reduce the traffic and population in weekdays because people are busy in their jobs and their works.
According to my opinion, I believe that the shorter week and longer weekend are more beneficial for any country because it has a great impact on the social life of the individuals and also they live a standard life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You give a clear opinion in the introduction and conclusion, supporting a shorter working week and longer weekend. Your relevant points include rest, time with family and friends, improved focus at work, and opportunities for travel and tourism. This addresses the task, but some ideas are more fully explained than others. The point about attending marriage ceremonies is specific, yet its connection to the broader case for a longer weekend could be made clearer. Similarly, the claim that extra leisure time boosts the economy is plausible but needs a brief explanation of how spending on travel or tourism produces this effect. Develop each main reason with a clear explanation or example to make the argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the second body paragraph develops a distinct point about productivity and work-life balance. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined together without clear relationships. For example, the first body paragraph moves from relaxation to meeting friends and then to marriage ceremonies, while the second combines productivity, economic benefits, traffic and population. Linking phrases such as “Firstly” and “On the other hand” help signal stages, but “On the other hand” suggests a contrast that is not clearly established. Group related points, use clearer transitions, and make references such as “this” explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “productivity,” “work life balance,” “motivated,” “focused,” and “reduce stress.” However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “people,” “time,” and “benefits,” and several word choices or collocations are unnatural or unclear. For example, “soulless to your body” does not express the intended idea of rest or renewal, and “a great impact on the social life” is vague. There are also noticeable errors in forms and spelling, such as “wither families” and “more more extra time,” which can distract the reader. Aim for precise phrases that describe the effects of rest and leisure, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “When staff member get a long weekend, they return to work more refreshed.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “It create a good expression,” “staff member get,” and “Its boost the economy.” Some sentences also run together, as in the sentence beginning “For instance, Its boost the economy,” where several ideas need clearer sentence boundaries and punctuation. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and singular/plural forms, and build longer sentences around one main idea with accurate clauses and punctuation.
