Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent days workers want to a longer weekend and the working hours or a working days should be shorter most of the worker want but , few people are disagree for this point but most of the people are agree.
In my opinion, we can look both side so, when worker have longer weekend they can spend long time with their family and friends and when they break from their work they fell relax and less stress. In weekend time they haven't any office work so they can give time for themselves. So, workers should have a weekend longer. For example, in my country people are working every day and they haven't time to give their family and they are always feel lonely and suffer for different mental health due to the pressure of work.
Furthermore, when worker have a longer weekend the work they have to do they are pending and after the vacation again they have to give full time for work. So, worker have weekend but in limit days. For example, most of the people are panic due to the over load of working time after the vacation because in weekend time they live happy but after weekend they have to more pressure at working.
Therefore, workers should have a weekend but not longer. worker have to do their work only limited time, working week should be shorter but longer weekend is impossible because the work are loaded and pending after the weekend workers have more pressure so weekend have to shorter.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that workers should not have a longer weekend, and you include relevant points about family time, stress and work accumulating during time off. The example about workers in your country feeling lonely helps illustrate the benefits of rest. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening says most people agree with longer weekends, while the conclusion rejects them, and “we can look both side” does not establish your own view. The argument against longer weekends is also repeated rather than fully explained; clarify why pending work would outweigh the benefits, or suggest how workloads could be managed. A more consistent position and fuller development of both reasons would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
Your response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas are generally grouped by topic. You also use linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “For example” and “Therefore.” However, progression is weakened by repeated points: the final paragraph restates that work will be pending and pressure will increase without adding a new step to the argument. Some links are mechanical or unclear, particularly “In my opinion, we can look both side so” and the transition from the benefits of longer weekends to the argument against them. Make each paragraph’s purpose explicit, use clearer references to the position you are supporting, and avoid repeating the same claim in the conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a small set of relevant terms, including “longer weekend,” “stress,” “mental health,” “pressure” and “vacation,” so the main topic is understandable. There are also attempts to express consequences, such as workers feeling lonely or facing pressure after time off. However, the vocabulary is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow: “they fell relax,” “the work … are pending,” and “people are panic” are examples. Repetition of “worker,” “weekend” and “pressure” also restricts precision. Build a wider range of natural phrases for workload, rest and productivity, and check word forms and collocations when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “when worker have longer weekend they can spend long time with their family.” This shows an effort to connect reasons and results. However, the range remains limited, and errors are frequent across the response, sometimes making relationships between ideas hard to interpret. Examples include “most of the people are agree,” “when worker have,” and “they are always feel lonely.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also unreliable, as in the long opening sentence and the final paragraph, where separate ideas run together. Practise subject–verb agreement, verb forms and articles, then use full stops to separate claims and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
