Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that the weekdays should be less and the people who works should get more weekends. I strongly agree with the position because I think having more weekends will help the employees on their well-being and productivity.
By getting more time to rest will help people to recharge themselves. People can have more time to spend with their family or loved ones or go on a trip. They will have a work-life balance. It will make them feel refreshed. For example, in my workplace I don't get enough weekend. I only get one day. It makes me feel depressed and frustrated. But one of my friend get 3days of. He always feel happy and active.
Another important reason, getting more weekends help people to become more productive. The company who gives their employee more weekend, they are more successfull. Employees feel active and motivated. As they get short time to work, they don't waste their time. They become focused on quality of the work. For example, my friend who get 3days off, the result of their work is more productive than us who get just on day off. As have more time to work, we feel exgausted and take more breaks which affect our productivity.
So
In conclusion, I strongly believe getting more weeked will help people to be healthy and productive and it leads to be more successfull in their workplace.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that workers should have longer weekends. You give two relevant reasons—rest and well-being, followed by productivity—and include personal examples from your workplace and your friend’s experience. These examples make the response relevant, but the explanation is uneven: the first reason is linked to family time and feeling refreshed, while the productivity argument relies mainly on one comparison and would benefit from explaining how shorter working weeks could improve output more generally. The conclusion restates your view but adds little. The response is 15 words below the required minimum, so it needs further development to meet the task fully. Add specific explanation or a further relevant example to extend your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. This makes your main line of argument easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “For example,” “Another important reason,” and “In conclusion.” However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening of the second body paragraph, “Another important reason, getting more weekends…,” needs a clearer linking structure, and “So” appears as an unfinished transition before the conclusion. References such as “their work” and “us” in the productivity example are not fully clear. Use complete transitions and make pronouns refer unmistakably to the people or groups you mean.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the central ideas, including “well-being,” “recharge,” “work-life balance,” “motivated,” and “productivity.” These choices show some range beyond basic repetition. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the writing less natural: “more weekends” is imprecise for longer weekends, “more successfull” is misspelled, and “exgausted” is difficult to recognise. Phrases such as “the weekdays should be less” and “the result of their work is more productive” are also awkward. Aim for precise expressions such as “a shorter working week,” “more successful,” and “their work is more productive,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, and the overall meaning is generally understandable. For example, “People can have more time to spend with their family” is a clear simple construction, while “As they get short time to work, they don't waste their time” attempts to explain a cause and effect. However, some errors in sentence structure, agreement, and verb forms recur. “By getting more time to rest will help people” has an incorrect opening structure; “the people who works” and “one of my friend get” show agreement or number problems; and “He always feel” needs a third-person verb form. Practise forming complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and plurals. Greater accuracy in these patterns would make your argument smoother.
