Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, for many people argue that working week should be shorter and worker have a longer weekend. I completely disagree with this notion because working week is already very short for those companies who have many orders to complete. I discuss it in paragraphs.
To begin with, many workers work in companies at a certain time limits in one week and if they have many off-days it will be possible that worker mind will be diverted to their weekends planning while working. For example, a worker works in a company and the company owner did give them money for their work and if they had long weekends company owner face crisis in future. Company owner pay money and their work did not complete. Furthermore work will be pending.
Conversely, from my perspective more holidays can reduce their work stress and can create a work life balance. Moreover employees can spend more time with their families. For instance, if I am working in a organization and my company provides me a weekend off, I can take my family out on dinner and play games with my children. My work life will be balanced this way.
In conclusion, I personally believe that shorter weekends are better than the longer weekends because individuals can do work within required time whereas longer weekends provide stress free life for workers and they can spend more time with their families. Hence working hours should be longer in my opinion as employees can stay active and it can enhance the productivity of companies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall disagreement, especially in the introduction and conclusion, and you include relevant points about company output, stress, and family time. However, the response only partially develops the task: the main argument against longer weekends is difficult to follow, and the example about an owner paying workers does not clearly show why a shorter working week would harm a company. You also introduce benefits of longer weekends in the second body paragraph without explaining how these affect your stated position. The conclusion then shifts to saying working hours should be longer, which is not quite the same as arguing that the weekend should be shorter. Develop two or three reasons consistently and explain each with a directly relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. Basic signposting such as “To begin with,” “Conversely,” and “In conclusion” also indicates the intended stages. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the sequence from workers planning weekends to an owner facing a crisis is not fully explained, and “Furthermore work will be pending” adds little clarification. The contrast marker “Conversely” introduces a point that conflicts with your stated disagreement, while the conclusion combines both sides rather than resolving them. Some links are mechanical, and references such as “this way” are vague. Make each paragraph support one clear point and use linking phrases only when the relationship between ideas is explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate basic ideas, including “work stress,” “work life balance,” “productivity,” and “pending.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making the intended meaning harder to understand. For example, “worker mind will be diverted to their weekends planning” is an awkward way to express distraction, and “company owner face crisis” is imprecise. There is also repetition of “work,” “company,” and “weekend,” and some forms are not used naturally, as in “off-days.” Aim for precise phrases such as “workload,” “staff productivity,” and “time off,” and check that each expression fits the meaning you intend.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer clauses, including sentences beginning with “if,” and the reader can generally understand the main message. However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine ideas often contain frequent errors that can make the relationships difficult to follow. Examples include “for many people argue,” “worker have,” and “company owner face,” where the sentence structure or subject–verb agreement is faulty. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent in phrases such as “in a organization” and “many off-days.” Verb forms are problematic in “did give them money” and “their work did not complete.” Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking agreement, articles, and verb forms.
