Student answer (Band 5.5)
As world is evolving towards the new era. The expenses of the popullation also enhancing along with it. They need to work hard to meet their requirements for living. Therefore, I do not accede that employees have a longer weekend as contrast to weekdays.
To initiate this discussion, I would say that workers should try to work hard throughout the week and take some rest on sunday. However, this will assist them to become financially stable. For instance, My bestfriend is living in the Canada. He has two days off but he go to his work even on saturday, just take rest on sunday because on the weekends you will get double salaries also your passion for your work create superb image of yours.
Additionally, another crucial reason is that you may not be able to learn from your surrondings if you have longer weekend. If you go to your work in most days of the week then this will rise the educational skills that you learn from your working enviornment. For example, I did a short internship in software house and the things that i learnt from there is now helping me in my praticcal life.
Although, there is a school of thoughts that think employees should have a limited working days. They say that this will help them to feel relaxe and reduce their stress related to their work. Furthermore, they say that long weekdays will effect the physical and mentally health of the employees. To cite an instance, WHO recently did a survey which demonstrate that those individuals who work more have a numarous issues related to their health.
To put it in a nutshell, I pen down saying that workers should try to work during the weekdays like from monday to friday. Comparitively, they should also take proper rest on the weekends to relax their mind and prepare themselves to work hard.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you disagree with a longer weekend and argue that workers should work on weekdays, with Sunday for rest. You address both sides by presenting financial and workplace-learning reasons, then acknowledging concerns about stress and health. The examples of your friend in Canada and your internship make the response relevant. However, some points are not fully explained: the claim that working more days improves “educational skills” needs a clearer link to the proposed working-week policy, and the friend’s example focuses on extra pay rather than why the working week should not be shortened. Develop each reason with a more direct explanation and support the opposing view before explaining why your position is stronger.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, a counterargument and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps the reader follow the main stages of your argument, and signposts such as “Additionally” and “To put it in a nutshell” indicate transitions. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “However” does not clearly contrast with the preceding point, and the relationship between longer weekends and learning from one’s surroundings is not made explicit. The conclusion also introduces a specific Monday-to-Friday schedule that is not consistently established earlier. Use linking phrases to show precise relationships between ideas, and make sure each paragraph develops one clear point in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “financially stable,” “working environment,” “stress,” and “physical and mentally health.” Some choices communicate your meaning, but inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “popullation,” “surrondings,” “enviornment,” and “praticcal”; “accede” is also not the natural verb for expressing your position here. There are awkward collocations such as “double salaries” and “rise the educational skills.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than more elaborate wording, and check spelling carefully. Building a reliable set of phrases for work, pay, rest and health would help you express your ideas more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and attempts at more complex structures, including conditional and subordinate clauses, as in “If you go to your work in most days of the week…” and “Although… there is a school of thoughts…”. However, some sentence structures are incomplete or faulty: “As world is evolving towards the new era” is a fragment, while “the things that I learnt from there is now helping me” has a mismatch between the plural subject and verb. There are also errors in articles, agreement and punctuation, such as “he go to his work” and the missing space after “Therefore,”. These issues do not prevent the overall argument from being understood, but they reduce accuracy. Practise complete sentence formation and check subject–verb agreement and clause structure.
