Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a position—“I partially agree”—and attempt to discuss both working days and weekends, so the response is connected to the topic. However, the reasons are difficult to identify and do not clearly answer whether the working week should be shorter. For example, the point about workers needing to work longer on weekends to earn more money seems to argue against a longer weekend, but this implication is not explained. The references to India, London, technology and construction are also unclear or insufficiently connected to your position. To strengthen the response, explain your main reasons directly, develop each with a relevant example, and make clear how each point supports your partial agreement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To commence,” “On the other hand” and “To conclude” show an attempt to organise the discussion. However, the progression within paragraphs is often hard to follow: the first body paragraph moves from remote working to salaries and technology without showing how these points connect. Some linking phrases, including “Due to” and “Owing to,” introduce incomplete or unclear relationships. The conclusion also introduces construction rather than clearly summarising the argument. Use one central idea per paragraph, arrange supporting details in a logical order, and use linking expressions only when their relationship between ideas is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “hectic routine,” “job-satisfaction,” “urban society” and “relax,” and use some varied expressions to discuss work and weekends. However, word choice, collocation and spelling are frequently inaccurate, sometimes making the intended meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “shorter working,” “less amount of founds,” “working platfrom” and “free of mind.” Several phrases appear to be chosen for formality rather than precision, such as “Terminate” at the start of the final sentence. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “shorter working hours,” “earn a higher income” and “complete their projects.” Proofread spelling and choose vocabulary that expresses your point directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning with “Whereas” and “because,” and you use some past and present forms. However, sentence boundaries and basic grammatical patterns are frequently inaccurate, which often obscures meaning. For example, “Whereas workers should have a long weekend compared to the weekdays” is a dependent clause presented as a sentence, while “many urban centre are” has a subject–verb agreement error. The sentence beginning “To commence” also contains several clauses without clear punctuation or complete structure. Practise forming complete sentences, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and separating ideas with appropriate punctuation before attempting longer constructions.
