Student answer (Band 5.0)

From my perspective working from Monday to friday and have the weekend off is quite normal as a corporate worker or a student as well. But for labours and workers who work hard in different type of fields should have the one long weekend every month.

Preferably those who works overseas and live far away from families must have a one good long weekend in a Month.Because it will reduce stress and improve productivity. With a healthy and fresh mindset workers will work smartly and with a balanced proportion it reduce the chances of failer.

Now it is becoming quite popular to have a short working week and long weekend which is somehow a good change but also a negative concept.

In conclusion i will just say that having desires is not a crime but to make it happen we have to be unite but desires like this will make a person lazy and will not found work excited. I will say it is rather to be dumb than to pretend being intelligent. If you do not work regularly you will one day become a bedrotter.

workers feel exhausted at work that is why they demand and wish for a long weekend but after a one long weekend they feel useless at home and start rushing to work . so it is important for the mental health to rest and work in a balance. A proper balanced life is a healthy life. Once in a blue moon all can have a long weekend but not every other week.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You express a view that longer weekends can help workers rest, but your position is not consistently clear. The task asks whether the working week should be shorter and the weekend longer; your suggestion of “one long weekend every month” is specific, yet you later say this should happen “not every other week,” without explaining what working pattern you support overall. Relevant points include reduced stress, productivity and mental health, but these are asserted rather than developed with explanation or a concrete example. The discussion of workers feeling “useless at home” also needs clarification and support. To strengthen the response, state clearly whether you agree or disagree, then develop two reasons that directly address a shorter working week and support them with examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is some attempt to organise the response, including an opening paragraph, a paragraph about benefits and a concluding section. However, ideas do not progress in a clear sequence: the discussion moves from corporate workers and students to overseas labourers, then to popularity, laziness and mental health. The conclusion begins with “In conclusion” but is followed by several further points, so it does not function as a clear summary. Linking words such as “But,” “Because” and “so” are used, but some connections are unclear, and “Because” starts a sentence that depends on the previous one. Group related ideas into focused paragraphs and use clear topic sentences and references so the reader can follow your argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “reduce stress,” “improve productivity,” “mental health” and “balanced life.” These phrases help communicate your main concerns. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, which sometimes makes the reader pause. For example, “workers who work hard in different type of fields” is repetitive and imprecise, while “work excited” and “bedrotter” do not express your intended meaning naturally in this context. Spelling and form issues such as “failer” and inconsistent capitalisation also affect accuracy. Build a more precise range for discussing rest, working patterns and performance, and check that each phrase is idiomatic and appropriate for a formal essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the main message is generally understandable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “those who works” instead of “those who work,” “it reduce” instead of “it reduces,” and “we have to be unite” instead of “we have to be united.” Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “Because it will reduce stress” is a fragment, and “in a Month.Because” needs correct punctuation and spacing. Practise subject–verb agreement, articles and complete sentence construction, then proofread longer sentences by checking that each has a clear subject and verb.
