Student answer (Band 5.5)
The woking week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. I strongly agreed with this statement because i think people who have busy schedule on working weeks have no enough time to spend it with family and friends so they should have to give longer holidays so they they get relaxed and get rid of their busy routine.
I think that, people who have longer working days, detach from society even some time family events, festivals they should have to suffer from these conditions and sometimes family may decided to change decesions that also disrupts families mental health. Some people can manage it if they had good family support otherwise people cannot afford it and some times they need to go to pyschiarist having serious health issues.
Additionally, i also supported this statement because if week days are shorter then there is a chance for other employs to show their skills to managers and sometimes new employs would be hired for working in those days when they are getting off to spend times with families, so that should be happened because there are some services which cannot be closed like public transport, hospitals and all other places who are serving for the welfare of our country. Then such kind of services should be provided by other persons who hired newly.
Overall, i would like to say that i agree with this statement strongly because it will be better for the growth of economy of our nation as well as people also have a huge advanatge of getting served daily.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening and conclusion: you strongly support a shorter working week. You give relevant reasons, including more time for family and friends, reduced social isolation, and the possibility of hiring additional staff for essential services. These points address the question, but they are not all developed equally. The discussion of family events and mental health is difficult to follow and would benefit from a specific explanation or example. The claim that shorter weekdays would create jobs for new employees also needs clearer support, including how staffing would work in practice. Develop each main reason with a concrete example and explain its connection to a longer weekend.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a concluding statement. Linking expressions such as “Additionally” and “Overall” help signal the stages of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear, and several sentences contain multiple ideas without showing how they relate. For example, the second paragraph moves from social detachment to family decisions and then to psychiatric care, leaving the progression between claims uncertain. In the third paragraph, the link between shorter weekdays, hiring new employees, and maintaining services also needs to be made explicit. Use clearer topic sentences and divide complex chains of ideas into shorter, logically connected sentences; ensure pronouns such as “they” have clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “family support,” “mental health,” “public transport,” and “welfare.” This gives you a basic range for discussing work and society. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “busy schedule on working weeks,” “longer holidays” when discussing weekends, and “getting served daily.” Spelling errors, including “woking,” “decesions,” and “advantage,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise phrases that express your intended meaning, and check spelling carefully. Learning common collocations related to employment and work-life balance will help make your argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “if,” and “when,” so there is some variety in structure. However, some grammatical errors make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “I strongly agreed” uses an inappropriate tense for stating your current opinion, while “people who have busy schedule” is missing an article. In “family may decided,” the modal should be followed by the base form of the verb. Several sentences also run together, as in the sentence beginning “Additionally,” which needs clearer punctuation and sentence boundaries. Review verb forms after modals, subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation, then practise building complex sentences that remain controlled.
