Student answer (Band 5.5)

The employers should have more leisure time and the working for 7 days should be shorter . In my opinion i agree that workers should have more free time this attitude will be elaborated in terms of relaxing and having a time for thier famillies.

first, working while 7/7 per week make the humain very tired and live his life in stress. In addition if they have a longer weekend they have a time for relaxing, a case in piont is my own experience when my father work while the week and he returne to the home exhauted. While my sister work only 3 days per week and she has a time to relax and doing her hobbits, shooping,sport..

sencond, in our life we constait that children suffer from autism because they stay all the time alone and thier parents work for longer hours and they dont have a communication with thier people. In addition if they have more free time they play with them , take an exemple someone who have a longer weekend spend a time with her family , take them to the zoo to see animals ,watching a film together in the cinema, playing football at the tadium.. All of this activities provide a best communication between the parents and chidrens .

TO conclude, taking every things in concidiration , the workers should have more free time and the working week should be shorter. They will becomes more ralaxing and they will spend more time with thier families to improve the communication .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that the working week should be shorter, and you give two relevant reasons—workers need time to rest, and parents need more time with their children. The examples about your father and sister, and family activities such as going to the zoo, help make these points concrete. The response addresses the question, but the support is uneven. The first reason is linked to tiredness and relaxation, while the second makes a broad claim about children and autism without explaining or substantiating that connection. Develop each main point with a clearer explanation of how a shorter working week would benefit workers, and avoid unsupported claims. A more precise discussion would make the argument more convincing and complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “first” and “sencond,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through your argument, and the examples generally follow the points they are intended to support. However, progression within sentences and between ideas is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, the shift from children being alone to autism is abrupt, and the list of family activities is not smoothly connected to the claim about communication. Some linking phrases, including repeated “In addition,” feel mechanical. Use clearer topic sentences, explain the relationship between each example and its main point, and vary transitions. More accurate referencing and punctuation would also help the ideas connect more naturally.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “free time,” “longer weekend,” “relax,” and “communication,” and the examples show an attempt to express a range of ideas. However, the vocabulary is basic and often repetitive, while frequent spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response harder to understand. Examples include “exhauted,” “hobbits,” “constait,” and “concidiration”; “doing her hobbits” also uses an unsuitable word and collocation. Several phrases, such as “working while 7/7 per week” and “provide a best communication,” are not natural English. Build a more accurate range of topic vocabulary and check spelling, word forms, and common collocations so your meaning is expressed more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, using structures such as “if they have a longer weekend” and “when my father work…”. This shows an effort to connect reasons and examples rather than relying only on short statements. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur across the response and sometimes make relationships unclear. For instance, “my father work” needs a past-tense verb, and “They will becomes” has an incorrect verb form. The opening also joins the opinion and its explanation without clear punctuation. Practise forming accurate conditional and past-tense sentences, check subject–verb agreement, and separate complete ideas with appropriate punctuation. Greater control of these patterns would make your argument easier to read.
