Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you disagree with a longer weekend, and you give relevant reasons about workplace consistency, concentration and company revenue. The response also includes a conclusion that restates your view. However, the reasons are only partly explained. For example, you say that a long break may affect workers’ consistency, but do not show clearly how this would happen or provide a specific example. The reference to research from a Bangladeshi website is vague and its relevance is not explained. The point about returning from time with family is also asserted rather than supported. Develop each main reason with a clear explanation or a concrete example, and make sure the argument directly compares the proposed shorter working week with its possible benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Phrases such as “on the one hand,” “on the other side” and “to sum up” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the research reference appears without a clear link to the claim about workplace effects, and the second body paragraph repeats the idea that workers may struggle to focus without developing it further. The final paragraph also repeats earlier points rather than bringing them together. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and organise each body paragraph around one fully developed reason. Avoid relying on formulaic transitions when the relationship between ideas is not explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “workplace,” “revenue,” “concentrate” and “longer weekend,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main position. However, the range is basic and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “long break,” “work” and “consistent.” Frequent spelling errors, including “mordern,” “debet” and “monotonus,” also make the writing less clear. Some word combinations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “lose their consistent on work” and “recharge our energy to back our work place.” Build a wider set of accurate expressions for productivity, rest and work-life balance, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you express your reasons without repeating the same terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because maybe they had a good time with their families.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement and articles. For example, “there have been debet working week should be shorter” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “a research have published” has incorrect article and verb forms. In “when a individuals have a long break,” the article and plural noun do not agree. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, with several sentence openings in lowercase and spaces before full stops. Practise building accurate sentences with clauses such as “because,” “although” and “which,” then proofread each sentence for subject–verb agreement and complete structure.
