Student answer (Band 5.0)
I disagree with the statement. Because weekend are their for relaxtion and bring up peace of mind to worker. It's definately a good aspect of weekend but longer weekend lends to work detail and harming the productiveness of human beings. The longer the work day is corresponding bring the joy of weekend. As we human tends to discover happiness in stuff we do. Human must learn to develop a habit of finding joy in the work they do. The shorter working week becomes more idle the person becomes. People wants to make their opinion and working efffortless than minimize the weekend and find alternative to make work less effortful. More we become productive ansd creative, we unlesh the potential of growing into intenligient beings. Work was never the problem in the people mind. It's idleness in the brain. As example we can see that artist rarely takes leave from work. Even though they take leave they use that time to gain more productive idea for their work. We have to learn to love work rather making it hard to preform. The prefect weekend occur only after the dedication was put on it.
1-2 days weekoff is enough to recharge your body and giving time for other thing via family, hobby, passion. Making the work less effortless than building and managing other side quest won't be a big hustle. Human tend to built every day and productiveness fuel a man. There is quote " The rome was never in one day, but it was build everyday. " Therefore human future is rome and more day we take a leave longer it takes to build future. I never deny the fact that we need a weekend. It's necessary but too much. It's posion just like a water. Both abandon and abundance are risky, we must know when to take a pause. Rather than focusing on unnecessary debate, we need to look for alternative. Weekend must be in sufficent amount. Person gets what he gives. Therefore longer weekend is not a proper solution for the problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the opening (“I disagree”) and remains against longer weekends. You give relevant reasons, including the value of work, productivity, and having one or two days to recharge, and the artist example and Rome quotation attempt to support your view. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because several claims are asserted rather than explained. For instance, “The shorter working week becomes more idle the person becomes” does not clearly show why a shorter week would cause idleness, and the discussion of artists is not closely connected to the proposed working-week policy. Develop two or three reasons with clear cause-and-effect explanations and a specific example of how a shorter week could affect workers or workplaces.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: you state your position first, then discuss work and productivity, and later acknowledge that workers need time for family and hobbies before restating your conclusion. This gives the reader a broad sense of your argument. However, progression within and between ideas is often difficult to follow. Several points are placed together without a clear link, such as the claims about idleness, creativity, and artists. Connect each paragraph to one main point, and explain how each example supports it. Linking phrases such as “For example” and “Therefore” are used, but some transitions feel abrupt or do not establish a clear logical relationship. Clearer paragraphing and more precise referencing would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “productiveness,” “potential,” “dedication,” and “alternative,” and you use figurative language such as comparing the future to Rome. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “work,” “weekend,” and “human,” while inaccurate word choice and spelling sometimes make meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “weekend lends to work detail,” “side quest,” and “abandon and abundance,” which do not express the intended ideas clearly in this context. Focus on accurate collocations and precise terms for working hours, rest, and productivity. Proofreading spelling and word forms would also help your ideas come across more reliably.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “Because” and “Even though,” but control is inconsistent. Frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms can make the reader pause. For example, “Because weekend are their for relaxtion” is an incomplete sentence with agreement and article problems, while “As we human tends to discover happiness” has an incorrect subject–verb pattern. “1-2 days weekoff is enough” also needs a clearer grammatical construction. Practise building complete sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses accurately. Check subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, and punctuation, especially where a full stop currently separates a dependent clause from the sentence it belongs to.
