Student answer (Band 6.0)
An increasing number of people argue that there should be only a few working days in entire week and workers should have a longer weekend. I partially agree with this statement because, i believe there should a longer weekend in alternate weeks to keep a balanced approach in progress of work and metalpeace of the employee.
To commence with, lesser working days with longer weekend can reduce the output of work that used to be done with in a period of time. Some works required a lot of time to finish, only a limited number of working days may not be sufficient and there should be some consequences for this like, delay in submission, losses for the company and pile up of work. For instance, most of the finance and softwere companies gives a target to finish their work, so a reduced working days cannot be sufficient to complete moreover if they can't finish this work they may get fired and there'll be a huge loss for the company.
On the other hand, a longer weekend with shorter working days can provide a opportunity to spend personal time with family and children and creates a stressfree work environment in office where employees love to work with out any hesitation moreover can lead a good work life balance which is lacking in most of the woking sectors. For instance, Europe has a law of working only 8 hours a day which helps employees to balance work as well as personal life.
In conclusion, although a shorter working days will provide a good work life balance a long working day with less holdays is eually important to get work done qickly and a balnaced approach is important with alternatin the weeks with longer working days and shorter working days

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is identifiable: you partly agree and propose alternating weeks, while the two body paragraphs consider reduced output and improved personal time. These points are relevant and address both sides of the question. However, the central proposal—longer weekends only in alternate weeks—is not explained clearly enough, and the conclusion shifts to “longer working days with less holidays,” which is not quite the same as the question’s focus on a shorter working week. The examples about finance and software companies and European working hours support your points, but remain broad; explain how a shorter week would affect productivity or wellbeing in a specific way. Developing the compromise consistently and supporting each reason more fully would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signalled by “To commence with” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. The reader can follow the main contrast between possible productivity losses and benefits to family life. This logical arrangement is a strength. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear, particularly the repeated use of “moreover” and the long sentence in the first body paragraph, where several consequences are joined together. The conclusion also introduces a slightly different proposal from the one in the introduction, weakening the progression of the argument. Use clearer sentence boundaries, vary linking expressions, and refer consistently to your alternating-week solution to strengthen cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “output of work,” “stressfree work environment,” and “work life balance.” There are also attempts at more specific terms such as “submission” and “consequences.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the reader pause: “metalpeace” appears to mean mental peace, “pile up of work” is not idiomatic, and “a reduced working days” is incorrectly formed. Spelling errors such as “softwere,” “woking,” and “eually” are noticeable. Build a bank of accurate phrases for productivity, workload, and employee wellbeing, and check spelling and collocation carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if they can't finish this work they may get fired” and a contrast introduced by “although.” This gives the response some variety, and the main meaning is generally understandable. However, there are some recurring errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “there should a longer weekend” is missing a verb, “companies gives” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, and “a opportunity” needs the correct article. The conclusion’s opening clause, “although a shorter working days will provide…,” is not grammatically controlled. Practise checking each sentence for a complete verb phrase, singular/plural agreement, and clear punctuation, especially in longer sentences.
