Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people say working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend and other discourages this idea. We will discuss which one is better.
First of all we should know that most of the countries have 5 working days and 2 days off in the weekend. In some countries there only 1 day of and people work 6 days per week. The countries which allow 2 days off are advanced and developed. However, the countries those allow only 1 days off are mostly under developed and people have low income as they need to work more to earn more money. Underdeveloped countries cannot afford 2 days off as the people will not servive having low income compared to 1 day off. There will be a huge gap in the progress and companies will not bear it. So its not that easy to just increase the off days by the governemnt. In developed countries people work 5 days a week and their progress is being counted in country's economy. Those countrys are already developed and have much sources to bear the economy when giving 2 days off per week without affecting the economy. So working days really matters when it comes to the development of a country and its economy. So both type of countries can't afford to give another day off in the week.
Most of the people want more days off to have a longer weekend and give much time to their friends and families but this not everything they need. Everyone want better for himself but if we see the bigger picture this is not something possible to be happen.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a position against shortening the working week, especially in the conclusion that “both type of countries can't afford to give another day off.” The discussion of differences between developed and underdeveloped countries is relevant, and you attempt to explain economic consequences. However, the response only partially addresses the question: it does not clearly distinguish between whether workers should have longer weekends and whether this is practical in different economies. Several claims, such as that underdeveloped countries “cannot afford” another day off, are asserted rather than supported with a specific example or fuller reasoning. The opening promises to discuss which option is better but does not establish your own view clearly. State your position directly and develop it with concrete evidence or examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some organisation: the response moves from a general introduction to economic comparisons and then to a brief concluding point about workers’ preferences. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the main paragraph contains many claims without clear stages, and the conclusion does not fully draw together the argument. Linking phrases such as “First of all,” “However,” and “So” help signal relationships, but “So” is repeated and sometimes introduces conclusions that have not been fully established. The contrast between developed and underdeveloped countries also needs clearer paragraphing. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one central idea with explicit links between claims.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “working days,” “economy,” “income,” and “progress,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the argument harder to interpret. For example, “servive having low income” and “much sources” are unclear, while “the countries those allow” uses an unsuitable expression. Spelling errors such as “governemnt,” “countrys,” and “under developed” are also noticeable. Aim for more precise terms and check spelling and collocations. For instance, explain whether you mean productivity, economic output, or workers’ earnings rather than relying repeatedly on broad words such as “progress.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and subordinate clauses, for example, “The countries which allow 2 days off are advanced and developed,” but the range remains limited and errors occur frequently. Problems with articles, agreement, plurals, and sentence construction appear in phrases such as “working week should be shorter,” “most of the countries have,” “only 1 days off,” and “Everyone want.” The final sentence, “this is not something possible to be happen,” also shows faulty verb construction. These errors do not prevent the reader from following the broad argument, but they can make individual points awkward or unclear. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with controlled clauses and check subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
