Student answer (Band 5.5)
Workers spend 6 days a week working in their organizations. They have to complete their 40 hours of work time in these 6 days. If, we divide weekly time into daily, it counts to be 8 hours a day. So, 6 days a week time shift hits workers hard alot in terms of their personal and family goals, and they get lesser daily time to focus on their goals.
Workers should work 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) with working hours of 9 per day. In this way, workers would get alot of time on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) to focus on their personal and family goals. This would allow them to manage their affairs and grow their own side business. Alongside these benefits, they would be able to have more time for their fitness and parenting of their child.
However, 9 hours a day would be more hactic and create burden on workers. They would cost extra hours of work, and workers would get lesser daily time for their family and themselves. Work pressure can be seen more in these days.
Conclusively, I agree to the statement that workers should have a longer weekend. 5 days a week would allow them to work on their career goals while longer weekend would allow them to have time for their families and friends. In this way, they would have time for career growth and fitness as well which will make them grow more. However, workers have to give extra time to their work daily but thats somehow manageable.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that workers should have a longer weekend, and you give relevant reasons, including time for family, fitness and personal goals. You also acknowledge a drawback—that longer daily shifts could increase pressure—which shows some consideration of the issue. However, the response only partly develops the argument. The opening focuses on a six-day schedule and 40 hours, but does not explain whether this describes the current situation or why a shorter week is preferable. The proposal of nine-hour days is also not fully reconciled with your concern that workers would have less time each day. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example, and clarify how the proposed schedule would work.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: it introduces the issue, presents benefits, considers a disadvantage, and ends with your opinion. This makes the main direction understandable. However, progression between ideas is sometimes repetitive or unclear. The benefits of family time and personal goals appear in both the second paragraph and conclusion, while the relationship between the six-day schedule in the opening and the five-day proposal is not clearly signposted. Linking phrases such as “However” and “Conclusively” are used, but they do not always create a smooth connection between the points. Organise the body around distinct reasons, use clearer references to the schedule being discussed, and avoid repeating the same benefits in the conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “working hours,” “side business,” “work pressure,” “career goals” and “fitness.” Some attempts to express more specific ideas are useful, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or informal, such as “time shift hits workers hard,” “grow their own side business,” and “parenting of their child.” Repeated use of “time,” “workers” and “goals” also limits variety. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding your position, but they make parts of the response less natural and precise. Aim for more standard academic collocations and check spelling, including “a lot” and “hectic,” before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple statements and some longer structures, including conditional phrasing such as “If we divide weekly time into daily…” and a contrast introduced by “However.” The main message is generally understandable, but errors recur in sentence construction, articles, agreement and punctuation. For example, “If, we divide” has an unnecessary comma, “it counts to be 8 hours a day” is awkwardly formed, and “workers would get lesser daily time” uses an incorrect comparative construction. The final sentence also needs an apostrophe in “that’s.” Work on forming accurate complex sentences and checking articles, comparatives and punctuation; greater control would make your reasoning easier to follow.
