Student answer (Band 5.5)
This Topic has been debated in our society nearly that the employees should have more then 2 days of off rather than having a whole working week. This topic was heated among the individuals because of both the agreement and disagreement. I will give my viewpoint with clear points that why do i agree on this statement.
I firmly believe that woking labour of an organization should have more leaves beacuse it might help them to relax and remain calm after a long tired weekend of working. Employees have to go through a tremendous hard work in result to meet their company goals and their boss orders which in result make them tired, lazy, fatigue. Also they might have health as well as mental disturbances with working too long without any leaves. For instance, a employee have to sit in front of computer and this can have effect on thier eyesight as well as cause them headaches. So to prevent all this or to give Ease to employees for their recovery of metal fatigue we should allow them a more longer lave weekend.
Also peoples do have some other duties apart from their jopb they do have to manage their house chores, their wife and kids if married and look after other things too. This all cannot be managed with in the two days of leave. It require some more extra time and also some time for individual to have time for themselves they cannot mange all this.
In contrast, other argues that this might cause the employees to become lazy with a longer weekend. This might get them in distractions as like, they might get too much in clubbing, parties or any other activities. Also they might have lack of focus in everything related to their job and also effect their cognitive abilities.
In conclusion to this, apart from the contrast weekend off longer can give individuals mental peace. It can help them to stay focused and have amazing abilities shown in the job. It can overall, enhance their performance both as a person and as an employee because good physical and mental health has fresh mind.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you agree that workers should have a longer weekend, and you give relevant reasons, including recovery from work-related strain and having time for family and household responsibilities. The example about prolonged computer use also helps make the health argument more concrete. You acknowledge the opposing view that extra time off could encourage distraction, so the response addresses both sides of the question. These features make the argument relevant and reasonably developed. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for example, the claim that longer weekends can improve focus and performance needs a clearer link to how rest produces those outcomes. The counterargument is also brief and could be weighed against your position more directly. Further development and support would make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two paragraphs supporting your view, a paragraph presenting a counterargument, and a conclusion. This gives the reader an overall route through your ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and several links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Also” repeatedly introduces additional points, while “In contrast” signals opposition but the paragraph does not explain how that concern affects your final position. Some references are also vague, as in “This all cannot be managed,” where the reader must infer what “this all” refers to. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example explicitly to its main claim, and vary linking expressions. A more direct transition from the counterargument to your response would strengthen the overall flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “mental disturbances,” “cognitive abilities,” and “enhance their performance.” These choices show an effort to discuss health and workplace outcomes beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “things,” “help,” and “more,” while several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning less clear. Examples include “a whole working week,” “tired weekend of working,” and “recovery of metal fatigue”; the last phrase appears to confuse “mental” with “metal.” Spelling errors such as “woking,” “beacuse,” and “thier” also affect the impression of control. Build a bank of accurate workplace and wellbeing collocations, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including sentences with “because,” “which,” and “if,” and the reader can generally understand your main position. However, complex sentences are often not controlled accurately, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms recur. For example, “This topic was heated among the individuals because of both the agreement and disagreement” is awkwardly constructed, while “a employee have to sit” has errors in both article use and subject–verb agreement. In “This all cannot be managed with in the two days,” the sentence pattern and punctuation also need attention. Practise building clear sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses accurately. Proofread for agreement, articles, and complete sentence boundaries.
