Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, the working weeks are shorter and have longer weekends. I take both decision agree and disagree according to my experience.

I should agree because due to lot of work on workers gives various problems. Because, individual do not have time to enjoy there life own and with there family also, due to the family problems also increases and worker face doubt problems in there office and family. Moreover, due to doing alot of work its aslo create stress by giving longer weekends people feels good and enjoy aslo fresh their mind with family, friends and peaceful sit and do something other things by which they feel active and also do there work in proper way and in active mode.

On the other hand, i also disagree because working weeks are small according to the have longer holidays people have collect their alot of work in office and do not complete on the time due to that problems office or compains also faces many different types of problems. Furthermore, due to having longer weekends staff also down their interest in the work and feel lazy. Most of people gives importants to their family and enjoy, because of these all the things office work go slows and staff do not get

proper payment form the compaines. And also, by longer weekends individual free and do not to anything in the time.

In conculsion, i agree with both points agree and disagree workers weeks and longer weekends have same equal so that people do work with proper time and also feel fresh, active and enjoy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both sides of the question, giving reasons related to workers’ wellbeing and the possible effect on office productivity. For example, you say longer weekends could reduce stress and help people feel refreshed, while also suggesting that work may accumulate and staff may lose interest. However, the position is not clear: “I take both decision agree and disagree” and the conclusion says you agree with both points without explaining which view you ultimately support. Several ideas are also difficult to follow or remain undeveloped, such as the claim that workers may not receive proper payment. To strengthen the response, state a definite position in the introduction and conclusion, then explain each main reason with a clear example or consequence.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic essay structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for opposing views, and a conclusion. “On the other hand” helps signal the shift to disadvantages, and “Moreover” introduces an additional point. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear because several ideas are crowded into long sentences, and connections between them are sometimes hard to follow. For instance, the first body paragraph moves from family problems to office difficulties, stress, and feeling active without clearly showing how each point relates. The conclusion repeats both sides rather than resolving the discussion. Organise each body paragraph around one main idea, use shorter sentences to explain it, and make the final paragraph clearly follow from your argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “stress,” “family,” “interest,” and “payment,” and you attempt to express effects on both workers and businesses. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear, such as “face doubt problems,” “staff also down their interest,” and “office work go slows.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “alot,” “aslo,” and “conculsion,” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn useful topic phrases as complete combinations, such as “work-related stress,” “maintain productivity,” and “lose motivation,” and check spelling and word forms during revision. More precise vocabulary would make your reasons easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to connect ideas using clauses and phrases such as “because,” “due to,” and “by which,” but sentence structures are limited and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors occur frequently in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “people feels good” should be “people feel good,” while “office work go slows” needs a corrected subject–verb pattern, such as “office work slows down.” The opening sentence, “Nowadays, the working weeks are shorter and have longer weekends,” also does not form a clear grammatical comparison. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with one clear subordinate clause at a time.
