Student answer (Band 5.0)

In my opinion,t he working week should should be longer and workers should have a short weekend.Because if the workers have longer weekend they become lazy . They become irresponsible with their work with passage of time. because they become habitual of getting rest more than working. In this way they do not use their qualities in effective way. As a result they do not work hard to improve their skills and qualities. In a short working week they do not share their ideas and plains with each other due to limited time period. They tried to work very fast and wants to finish their work immediatly which brings many mistakes in their work and also they do notbhave time to review their work.

In other way, if working week is short thant country facemany economical problems. Because if worker work for a short week the number of things used are not become equal the things and products which are produced. In this way many social and economic problems are evolved in a country. As a result poverity increased day by day. Due to short working week, people do not share different plans with each other. They just come in these working days do their task without knowing the opinion of the other and also never to get ideas from others due to limited time.In this limited time period workers do not learn to adopt and use new skills that are inventing day by day.

In conclusion , Iwould say that workers should work enough to create a successful nation. Because these workers makes the nation strong.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear disagreement with the proposal, arguing that a shorter working week could reduce productivity, limit collaboration and harm the economy. These points are relevant, and the conclusion restates your view. However, the response only partially develops the task: several claims, such as workers becoming “lazy” or poverty increasing, are asserted without explanation or a specific example. The economic point that the number of goods used does not match those produced is also difficult to follow. To strengthen the response, explain the cause-and-effect links more carefully and support one or two main arguments with a realistic example. A brief acknowledgement of possible benefits of longer weekends could also make your position more fully considered.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure, with an opening position, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “As a result” and “In this way” show an effort to connect ideas. However, progression within the paragraphs is often repetitive: the points about limited time, lack of idea-sharing and reduced skill development recur without a clear hierarchy. Some connections are unclear, particularly the sentence about the number of things used and products produced. Several sentences begin with “Because,” and transitions such as “In other way” do not clearly signal the relationship between points. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, then explain and illustrate it, using more precise links and avoiding repeated claims.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to work and the economy, including “skills,” “products,” “economic problems” and “opinion.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “limited time” and “In this way.” There are noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “plains” for “plans,” “poverity” for “poverty,” and “economical problems” where “economic problems” is intended. Phrases such as “use their qualities in effective way” and “many social and economic problems are evolved” are not natural collocations and can make the meaning harder to follow. Build a more precise range for discussing productivity, collaboration and national output, and check spelling and common word partnerships.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example by using “if” clauses and cause-and-effect structures. However, sentence forms are often faulty, and errors frequently make the reader work to understand the meaning. Examples include “if the workers have longer weekend they become lazy,” “they tried to work very fast and wants to finish,” and “these workers makes the nation strong,” where articles, verb forms or subject–verb agreement are not controlled. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, including fragments beginning with “Because” and missing spaces after full stops. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check agreement, articles and punctuation in each sentence before combining ideas.
