Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some indiviuals consider that working time should be shorter and have a great weekend for labours, I firmly believed that working hours should be limited but not longer, becuse it will impact the productivity of such different tools.

On the one hand,If we search on working hours of labour we can say that it has great impact towards product , due to the fact that continous srtuggle of worker can make the products valuable. Moreover, it has also negative impact over labour ,one major effects on over health is , exessive work leads to bad helath , If the workers stuggle all day long ,It will make their health more weak and alot off diseases will come near to him because of weak immunity.

Furthermore, human body is not able to work hard and have less time for rest. Rest days are also mandatory for their body to maintain a balanced life. For example, In china there is special time for rest ,according to their routine ,one scientific evidence proof that, If we people work hard and have maximium time for rest in the middle of day it will improve our life style and also improve our mental, physical health. Therefore, maintaining a balanced life style and have balanced work time will not onle improve our mental health but also will benefit our inner immune system, exessive work will make alot of negative effects on our inner and outer body.

If we sum our summary, we can assume that a balance life style not only give relief to our body but also enhance our physical and mental health ,due to fact that , we will work more and have a calm life. We have also several advantage of exessive work, It will boost our national growth ,as well as our country's economy ,and several items and will easily earn money . But then, we will lost our precious health.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a position in favour of shorter working hours, and the points about workers’ health, rest and the economy are relevant to the question. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening says “working hours should be limited but not longer,” while the conclusion also recognises advantages of excessive work without explaining how these fit your view. The discussion focuses mainly on rest and health, with little direct explanation of why the weekend itself should be longer or how shorter hours could affect productivity. Examples, such as the reference to China and “scientific evidence,” are too vague to support the claims. Develop a clear position and explain each main reason with a specific, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand” and “Furthermore” show an attempt to organise ideas. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from product quality to workers’ health, and the final paragraph introduces economic benefits without clearly connecting them to the argument. Linking phrases are sometimes mechanical or inaccurate, as in “If we sum our summary,” and several sentences contain multiple ideas joined together, making relationships unclear. Give each paragraph one central purpose, order supporting points logically, and use clear references and transitions to show how each point supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “productivity,” “balanced life style,” “immune system” and “national growth.” However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make the writing harder to understand, for example “indiviuals,” “continous srtuggle,” “exessive,” and “helath.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “great weekend for labours,” “products valuable,” and “diseases will come near to him.” These issues fit a limited but minimally adequate range: the intended topic is usually recognisable, but precision and control are inconsistent. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for work, rest, health and productivity; use “workers” rather than “labours” when referring to employees.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “if,” but complex structures are often faulty and errors recur throughout. For example, “Some individuals consider that working time should be shorter and have a great weekend” has an unclear grammatical relationship between the two ideas, while “we will lost our precious health” uses an incorrect verb form. Agreement and sentence construction are also problematic in “one scientific evidence proof that” and “maintaining a balanced life style and have balanced work time.” Punctuation is inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and full stops and several run-on sentences. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check verb forms and punctuation.
