Student answer (Band 5.0)

For employers job days should be smaller and increase the vacation days. I agree from this statement because they spent more time with family and they will not bore with their work.

It is a best reward that passing the life with family. indviduals come late from thier work. When they are busy in their daily routine and professional work. They have not be able to spend beautiful moments properly with their children and parents. It becomes a daily habit and also they sad with their lives. For example. in Pakistan, plastic products making factories, labour work almost 12 hours and only one holiday is available in a week. Therefore, there is negative impact on their everyday life.

Sometimes repeated wrork makes the workers tired. They show not full potentail on their work. They wait for holiday from the job. In some cases, often people continousily damage the company work and put it to different troubles in the form of money. If they get some more holidays, they will be motivated remaning whole week. For instance, a worker in a company which is not focus on his work due to some pending tasks of his life not comleted yet, hence he thinking much and often bore from his targets and show itself to sleepy.

In conlusion, more vacaions are very important role for strong relatives relationships. However, spend best time with them for bulding strong relation. Also less days spend in work you do other tasks easily. So, I agree increase weekend is a best choice.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the opening and conclusion: you agree that workers should have more time away from work. You give relevant reasons, including spending time with family and feeling less tired, and the example of factory workers in Pakistan helps illustrate the issue. This addresses the task, but the response focuses more on increasing vacation days than specifically shortening the working week and extending the weekend. Some points also need clearer explanation: for example, the claim that tired workers cause financial problems for companies is introduced but not fully shown. Develop each reason with a direct link to shorter working weeks and longer weekends, and explain examples more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs broadly separate family life from work performance, which helps the reader follow the main ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track, and links between claims are not always clear. For instance, the sentence about workers damaging company work and causing money troubles is followed by an example that is hard to interpret. Connect each example explicitly to the point it supports, and use clearer topic sentences. Some linking phrases, such as “Therefore” and “For instance,” are useful, but transitions should express the actual relationship between ideas rather than simply mark a new sentence.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “professional work,” “daily routine,” “motivated,” and “relationships.” However, basic and repetitive wording, along with inaccurate word choice and spelling, often makes ideas unclear. Examples include “job days should be smaller,” “not bore with their work,” “show not full potential,” and “bore from his targets.” These expressions do not sound natural in this context, and errors such as “indviduals,” “potentail,” and “conlusion” reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range for discussing working hours, fatigue and productivity, and check spelling and collocations. More natural phrasing would make your relevant ideas easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You try to use both simple and more complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures with “because,” “therefore” and “if.” However, errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation frequently make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “When they are busy in their daily routine and professional work” is a dependent clause presented as a sentence, while “they will not bore with their work” has an incorrect verb pattern. “A worker … not focus on his work” also lacks the appropriate auxiliary and verb form. Practise building complete sentences and checking subject–verb patterns, articles and tense. Clearer control of these basics will allow your ideas to come through more reliably.
