Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowdays, mostly workers want a shorter week for work while other employer argued that should have a longer weekend. From my prospective i am agree with this statment and at the end give reason in this paragragh.
One reason, working week is shorter for the worker because its give unwind mentally. Moreover, workers have more opportunity to stable mind in during weekend after they can focus more properly in working week. For example if they have an extra day off, they can relax, sleep prperly and take part in physical activities such as athlete, gym etc. As a result they feel happier and more energetic when they return to work.
Furthermore, If woring week shorter because workers want to spend more time in home with family.
Nowdays , many employees are too busy to enjoy activities with their children and parents. For example, they could use these extra day off to visit relatives, go on family formal events , and longer trips or learn many skills. In addition, well-rested employees may become more productive because they can concentrate more better on their tasks.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that the working week should be shorter and weekend should be longer. This changes visible employer face and improve peoples physical and mental health, and strengthen family realationships and improve their work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear by the end of the introduction: you agree that the working week should be shorter, and the response gives relevant reasons about rest, productivity and family time. Examples such as having an extra day to sleep, exercise or visit relatives help connect these points to the question. However, the opening is difficult to follow, and the first reason is not clearly explained: the link between time off, a “stable mind” and better focus needs more precise development. The point about family time is also brief, while the conclusion introduces broad claims about employers and health without explaining them. The response is 30 words below the required minimum, so there is less space to develop and support the ideas. Extend each main point with clearer explanation or a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally move from personal wellbeing to family life, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships between points. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, and some connections are unclear. The sentence beginning “Furthermore, If woring week shorter” is incomplete and does not smoothly introduce the family-time paragraph. In the first body paragraph, the relationship between having time to unwind and being able to focus at work could be made more explicit. Use a complete topic sentence for each paragraph, then develop one central idea in a logical sequence. Clearer referencing and fewer abrupt transitions would make the overall argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “unwind mentally,” “physical activities,” “productive,” “concentrate,” and “strengthen family relationships.” These choices show an attempt to discuss wellbeing and work performance rather than relying only on basic terms. However, spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word combinations are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning harder to understand. Examples include “prospective” for “perspective,” “stable mind,” “family formal events,” and “This changes visible employer face.” Some words are also repeated, particularly “extra day off” and “improve.” Aim to learn common collocations such as “mental wellbeing,” “spend time with family,” and “improve productivity,” and check spelling carefully. More precise phrasing would help your ideas sound clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a conditional example (“if they have an extra day off”) and a reason introduced by “because.” This gives the response some variety, but control is inconsistent: many sentences contain errors in sentence formation, verb forms, agreement, articles or punctuation, and these can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “One reason, working week is shorter for the worker because its give unwind mentally” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “Furthermore, If woring week shorter” is an incomplete clause. The introduction also has problems in “i am agree,” and the conclusion contains a long, unclear sentence joined by commas. Practise building complete subject–verb sentences, then combine them with accurate subordinate clauses. Check capitalisation and punctuation as part of proofreading.
