Student answer (Band 5.0)
Undoubtedly, work is a most important part of individuals' life. The employment week ought be shorter and employers should have a longer weekend. This essay will discuss my completely disagreement with given this notion.
Apparently, there are numerous drawbacks of the working week should be shorter. First and foremost one could be that people work less time then face many difficulties to long live. To justify it, the working week is small then people change living lifestyle because they less earning and unmaintained life. Thus, nowadays individuals employment is less time then bad effect on life because all things are expensive. Secondly, population work more time then maintain lifestyle. To explain it, people occupace long time then they earn more money and easily live in life. People have very money then they fight in all problems and enjoy life.
However, there are many disadvantages of workers should have a longer weekend. Cardinal one could be that people spend more time free then they feel relax after that long weekend they do not like to go on work then individuals feel lasy and not complete family needs. I think population employers ought have a shorter weekend because people go to job and earn money then they done family needs and personal things. People can more time to work then they feel good and maintain health fitness. As a result, people should more time to work then complete personal needs and fight with everday problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear disagreement in the introduction and return to it in the conclusion, so your position is identifiable. However, the response only partially develops the question: it gives reasons for keeping longer working hours, but does not clearly explain why a shorter working week or longer weekend should be rejected as a policy. Claims such as “people work less time then face many difficulties” and “they feel lazy” are broad and are not supported with a specific example or explanation. The discussion also shifts between the length of the working week and the length of the weekend without clearly distinguishing them. To strengthen the response, explain one or two relevant effects in detail and support them with a realistic example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a concluding section, and signposts such as “First and foremost,” “Secondly” and “However” show an attempt to organise the discussion. Nevertheless, the overall progression is difficult to follow because ideas are repeated or placed together without a clear relationship. For example, the second body paragraph moves from workers feeling relaxed to being lazy, then to earning money and maintaining health, without explaining how these points connect. Linking words such as “then” and “because” are used repeatedly and sometimes do not express the intended relationship. Plan each paragraph around one main reason, develop it in a logical sequence, and use clearer referencing and transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “employment,” “lifestyle,” “population” and “maintain,” and use a few formal-sounding expressions such as “First and foremost.” However, the range is limited and many choices or combinations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning hard to understand. Examples include “long live,” “unmaintained life,” “people have very money” and “fight with everday problems.” Repetition of “people,” “work” and “then” also restricts precision. Build a bank of natural collocations for employment and work-life balance, and check that each word fits its context. Prefer clear, accurate phrasing over formal expressions whose meaning is uncertain.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the response includes basic connectors such as “because” and “after that.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction and verb forms, sometimes making relationships between ideas unclear. For instance, “The employment week ought be shorter” is missing a grammatical element, while “people work less time then face” does not form a correct clause. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “work is a most important part of individuals' life.” Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Proofread each sentence for a complete verb phrase and clear punctuation.
