Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you support a longer weekend, and you give relevant reasons about stress, work performance, family responsibilities and mistakes at work. The explanation that tired employees may stop caring about unfinished tasks is a useful, specific consequence, while the point that time off can help workers return with better focus also supports your view. This addresses the task and shows some development, but the discussion is uneven: the benefits of a longer weekend are mostly asserted rather than illustrated, and there is little consideration of how a shorter working week could be introduced or any possible drawback. To strengthen the response, explain one or two points in more depth and add a concrete example to support your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces the topic, develops disadvantages of a long working week, then presents benefits of a longer weekend before concluding. Connectors such as “Due to this,” “As a result” and “Apart from” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several points are joined together without clear boundaries. For example, the discussion moves from home tasks to employees watching the clock and then to company mistakes, with the links between these claims not always fully explained. The conclusion also repeats the main view rather than drawing the argument together. Use clearer topic sentences, separate distinct points, and make references such as “this” or “it” unambiguous.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “stress,” “performance,” “efficiency,” “output” and “focus.” There are also attempts to express cause and effect, such as “boosting the efficiency of a worker.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are unnatural, which sometimes makes the reader pause: “Holidays has strong relation with body relaxation,” “his performance become down,” and “company should carry on long weekend.” Spelling errors such as “comming,” “weakend” and “alwas” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural phrases for work and wellbeing, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer precise expressions such as “reduce stress” and “improve productivity.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including cause-and-effect structures such as “Due to this his performance become down that effect the output of the company.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but control of sentence structure and basic forms is inconsistent. Subject–verb agreement is often incorrect (“Holidays has,” “It give,” “long working week increase”), and verb forms are also inaccurate (“his performance become,” “when he goes back … his performance become”). Some sentences run together or lack punctuation, as in “They leave as it is and go to home As a result…”. These errors can make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate present-tense agreement and use full stops to divide long sentences; then add complex clauses with reliable punctuation.
