Student answer (Band 5.5)
The concept of extending the weekend holidays and reducing the working days has a dramatic effect on economy and people's lives. I strongly dispute this view and will present my stance with well precedent.
First of all reducing the working days and extending the weekend sounds good but in reality It causes significant strain on economy.when there are less working days and more holidays ,the everyday work will be greatly affected. For instance if there are three working days and four holidays then the productivity decreases. If you are working in construction comapny due to less working hours the development will be slow and will lead to more financial strain. The same issue with government offices and facilities which will lead to major loss to economy due to less working days.
Secondly there are major impact of long holidays on people live's.Long weekend causes people a depression or boredom .To illustrate there are many prople who are living abroad apart from their families, when weekend are extended those people feel loneliness subsequently leading to depression and anxiety.
Beside this the reduction in working hours cause effect on people mind and their productivity.Reducing working hours will lead to less physical activity as well as sense of regret of not doing anything efficeint. In contrast reducing working hours and extending the weekend causes drop in pollution and provide an opportunity for people to spend more time with their families but the drawbacks outweighs the benifits.
Consequently reducing working days is not a wise decison as a consequence of this the workforce will drop and causing major economic issues.as well as effect on people health.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening: “I strongly dispute this view,” and the conclusion maintains your disagreement. You address the effects on the economy and on workers, using examples such as construction work and government offices. These points are relevant, but some are less fully developed than others. The economic argument explains that fewer working days could slow projects, while the claims that longer weekends cause depression and that shorter hours reduce physical activity or create regret are asserted without enough explanation or support. The brief acknowledgement of benefits, such as lower pollution and more family time, is useful, but could be weighed more clearly against your objections. Develop each main reason with a clearer cause-and-effect explanation and a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for economic and personal effects, and a concluding statement. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Secondly,” and “Consequently” help readers follow the main stages. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and links between ideas are not always clear. For example, the paragraph beginning “Beside this” shifts from reduced working hours to pollution and family time, then returns to drawbacks without a smooth comparison. Some sentences also run together, making relationships between claims harder to follow. Use paragraphing to keep each central argument focused, and connect examples explicitly to the point they support. Vary linking expressions and use clear referencing rather than relying mainly on formulaic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “productivity,” “financial strain,” “loneliness,” and “pollution,” and these choices help communicate your main concerns. However, the range is limited in places, and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make the writing less natural. Phrases such as “well precedent,” “weekend holidays,” “major impact … on people live’s,” and “drop in pollution” do not express the intended meaning precisely. Spelling errors, including “comapny,” “prople,” “efficeint,” “benifits,” and “decison,” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing economic output and workers’ wellbeing, and check spelling and collocations carefully. This would make your arguments clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and some attempts at complex sentences, for example the conditional “if there are three working days and four holidays” and the clause beginning “when there are less working days.” This shows some range, and your overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and plural forms recur. For instance, “there are major impact” needs plural agreement, while “people live’s” has an incorrect possessive form. Several sentences begin with dependent clauses but are not punctuated clearly, and the final sentence joins ideas awkwardly: “the workforce will drop and causing major economic issues.” Practise accurate clause joining, subject–verb agreement, and punctuation, then proofread for sentence completeness. More reliable control of these patterns would improve readability.
